It had been nearly 10 yrs since I had been to Gastonia, and all I wanted to do was go eat at Schlotzsky's!!! It was even better... than I expected. First: FIVE stars for the food. It was delicious. So fresh! The bread was excellent, everything was expertly put together by the... sandwich maker. Even the chips were delicious! Second: TWO stars for cleanliness. It was pretty bad. Doors, tables, evenoutside tables, all grimy. The place needs a good cleaning! Last: THREE stars for service. It took FOREVER to get our food.The orders were backed up and no one was in a hurry behind the counter. That was frustrating. Overall, we will go back becausethe food was so good and worth the wait. I haven't been in a Schlotzsky's Deli in over 10 years. Not sure why. This place is super succulent! The kid's grill cheese was... so great, they should make an adult version. Salads were wonderfully fresh. While we were dining in, the drive thru was wrappedaround the building. I definitely know the reason. Staff members were knowledgeable about menu. You have to try it! Take yourfamily, and listen to wholesome 50s doo'wap music. So fun! Also, Cinnabon products served here. Read more
We don't have these up north, so I was pleasantly surprised when I decided to try their food. They have multiple different... vegetarian options, which is nice. I've tried the margherita pizza and a few different sandwiches and they were all delicious.Plus, the prices are decent as well. Read more

I enjoyed my first visit. I will give the staff points on diplomacy when I asked what she would recommend she side stepped and... gave me a list of their popular dishes. It was so smooth you had to smile. Food was great. Only draw back was that it wasraining, so we couldn't eat outside. Read more
