5 stars for being open. I visited Greenport on Labor Day for 2 nights and every other establishment in the town was closed,... really lame. But First and South was open and even had live music by a singing guitarist! The food and the service was great! Bonus points for having a NA Beer! The kale salad was good enough without the protein, and the dessert selection was yummy. Wehad the banana bread and homemade ice cream with sprinkles. Good food. Good service. Read more
5 STARS all the way! 10 out of 10! The food was fantastic there wasn't a single dish I didn't like. Everything was fresh and... made from scratch. You can tell they take pride in every thing they do especially thier food. Three different starters 2 entreesand a dessert. All the flavors worked perfect together I wish I lived closer. The definitive neighborhood spot. Always welcoming. Full of traditions like the summertime pig roasts on Mondays, winter's... Prohibition Party, and great burgers every day. Excellent beer and wine lists. Sit at the bar, outside or in the dining room-each with its own vibe. Often has great live music in an intimate setting. Read more
Very nice place. Great oysters. "Really Good Burger" was really good! Nice mural with the local map. We had a very good time.
Absolutely incredible meal! We came in at 3 (which is close) and they STILL seated and served us with a smile. The chowder was... homemade and impeccable. The Oyster Po?Boy was phenomenal. The steamed mussels were divine. The Bloody Mary and Bellini weredelicious and strong. The Oatmeal Pie dessert was SPECTACULAR!!! Each worker we interacted with was kind, friendly, polite, andengaging. Overall First and South has been hospitable, delicious, and pleasant. I would eat here a second time, a third time, a fourth time? fantastic. My first shout-out will have to be the triple-blanched... fries. I have never, ever, had a better fry. I?m sure that sounds not particularly exciting, but if you get them you?llunderstand. Entrees: tuna burger, steamed mussels. Both delicious. Drinks-wise, we went with the Huckleberry Lemonade, PeachIced Tea, and the Boris & Natasha (not pictured). This was a great lunch, and the service was excellent to boot. Read more
They are open on Tumbleweed Tuesday's with live music, a great bar, low lighting and loud tunes. Had the mac and cheese, yummy!... The whole staff takes care of you, it's a great team environment, beautiful in and out and they have Polynesian parties severalnights a week. A must visit!!! Read more
