Real English Pub ambience in Half Moon Bay! Serving delicious clam chowder, pizza, etc, pumpkin pie and apple pie are to die... for! So delicious, it?s really like grandmother?s old recipe made from scratch. The interior decor is fantastic, it?ll bringback memories of typical London Pubs right in California. There was a festival going on. We weren't part of that. We were on the left coast for a family function when we fell into this... place looking for a beer. It was early lunch time. My wife and I sat at the bar. The gal behind the bar was a traveling nursefrom England. Having been to London a few times, we struck up a conversation. When we got to food, my wife got the lobstergrilled cheese with garlic fries. She really liked it. I tried some of the fries and they were very good. Crisp on theoutside, tender on the inside with lots of garlic flavor. I got had the Cameron's burger, medium, with the bean salad. Theburger was great. Fresh, juicy and full of flavor, make sure to get an extra napkin. If you like burgers, I don't think you'llbe disappointed. The bean salad was better than I expected too. Halfway through our meal the owner, pretty sure he was theowner, jumped behind the bar. He was amazing to watch. I've been a bartender in a past life, but this guy was good. Bottomline, we had a good time. We had good service, good food and good drink, and even some good banter. And, the relativelyauthentic English pub decor is fun. If you've driven Hwy 1 you've probably spotted the red bus or the giant pumpkin. Ordered: ???? A great pub with brilliant personality! Every inch of the walls is covered with something interesting, the staff are fantastic... and friendly, and there are tons of fun things to do (arcade games, trivia, live music). Definitely a must see if you?re passingthrough HMB! Read more

1st time in Half Moon Bay and I'm very glad we stopped at this place. Just the inside of the place is worth the admission. Lots... of great stuff on the wall, the likes I've never seen before. The cole slaw is absolutely amazing. But the other food we had wasvery ordinary. Not bad food, but ordinary. She had the baby back sandwich, and I had the chicken with pesto sauce.The next timeI'm there, I will try a different dish but this is not a place to miss if you are passing by. Read more

Being married to a Brit, we were excited to have authentic fish and chips and other British fare. I got the English pasty,... expecting a reasonably filled pie. What I got was utterly flavorless with hardly any beef. The fries were generic and cookedfrom frozen and the dinner roll was probably King's Hawaiian. Definitely not worth the $20.
