Great restaurant in Harrison fusing American with Portuguese cuisine. Interesting take on a sports bar, family friendly with... great waiting staff. Food was fantastic and great if you fancied something a little different from the norm. Very largeportions! Read more

Food was great! Wait staff needs to be more educated on the availabilty of meals before convincing patrons to order them. Also... if we have to have a substitution for something because the kitchen is out then we shouldn't be charged for that substitution. Not sure if I'll return Read more

Joia has the best seafood of the whole area! It has absolutely delicious paella and fry calamari. All of their frying dishes are... splendid. My favorite is their seafood platter(at my time MP $105 for 2-3 people large portion!!!!!) very fresh, good qualityingredients, large portion, fair pricing. Awesome place for casual diners and dates! During pandemic Joia maintained its foodquality. Even takeouts and deliveries are surprisingly large portions and great! Respect! Read more

I moved to Harrison in July 2020, and La Joia is hands down the best restaurant in the town. Whether it’s takeout or dinning... in the restaurant always expect: Generous & Great sized portions, great drinks—try the Blue Sangria and then thank me later????, and great service. Portuguese food with many different options, flavors and their presentation of the food is alwaysembellished yet still always feels like a home cooked meal. La Joia always has daily specials which I see on their Instagramaccount. I even recommended the restaurant to a friend’s mother last month and I was told that she has now been there multipletimes. Word of Mouth doesn’t do this place justice. Try it out yourself! Caution??—Be prepared to take food home when youeat out here. Read more

So I decided to meet one of my girlfriends for lunch for 2pm. I made reservations online. When I arrived I parked on the street... nearby, they also had garage parking. When I walked in I was greeted by one of the managers and he sat me. We were served byEiego and he was fairly new so he was getting helped as he went. He was really nice though and did his best. For drinks myfriend ordered the spiked arnold palmer and I got the $3 mimosas under the brunch special. For our entrées I got the chickenmasala special with shrimp and scallops. My friend got the crab eggs benedict. We both enjoyed our meals. The total came toabout $80 for both of us. We had a good experience and will return because it is a really cute spot in a nice location. Read more

My partner and I went here becuase we wanted to enjoy the happy hour and it worth it and extremely affordable, I can understand... why there are is many regulars here. Service is good and food is wonderful. I have done both carry-out and dine-in. (Top Pick)Pealla Seafood - I bought this thinking it would be a small expensive, boy was I wrong. This thing huge, the shear weight of itwas astonishing. Being frugal, my partner and I had enough for 14 servings lasting 3 days!! As 30 bucks, divided by 14 is 2.14 aplate. That is extremely affordable. The taste was fantastic, not too oily, yet the rice goes down easily. The lobster was ashocker as I didnt expect that, the shrimp, clams, muscles, and scallops were there. Each serving I had was filled with seafood,so they don't cheap out on pleasing you! Its worth it and the taste is incredible! Ham and Cheese w/French Fries - I boughtthis thinking it would also be a simple snack, but the rustic style bread is extremely fresh. The ham they used was good qualityand cheese was tasty. It tasted good, great quick lunch or snack for sure. Mac and Cheese w/Shrimp - A nice pile of Mac andCheese, the cheese was good, thought it was like canned cheese than special mixtures. But it was good, the shrimp was pentifuland good. I recommend this plate for children and fans. I wouldn't get it again though. Shrimp Cakes - This was very good, oneshrimp in each dumpling like shape. It was like nachos with shrimp. Pretzel - A huge pretzel with amazing generic canned fakecheese, very obvious but very fun to eat. I rely on the cheese a lot, so maybe won't get it again, but if you like eating itplain, then its very good. Complimentary Bread - Fresh baked bread from some bakery, worth it. Mash Potatoes - Good mixture inthe mash potatoes and taste. Nothing wild, but it was a side dish. French Fries - I decided to give french fries its ownreview, it tastes great and I am not sure they add an extra coating to it, but they make it real Read more

drinks were reasonably priced. The restaurant is in a good location away from traffic and has a good outdoor sitting experience.... We ordered the full chicken barbecue as it was fresh and saw a lot of people order it. We were sort of disappointed as it wasbland to our taste. The bread in the beginning was great. Read more
