Service was great, everyone was super friendly! We got rice&veg tacos, steak tacos, bean & cheese pupusas, and pork & cheese... pupusas. Decent tacos, delicious pupusas. Pupusas were big, crispy, and the dough to filling ratio was amazing. we also gottheir horchata and pineapple juice. Horchata was a bit grainy but we didn't mind it was still good and the pineapple juice wasnice, sweet, and refreshing. Side note: they have a salsa cart/station with an array of different salsas and sauce, and all ofthe salsas are delicious! Read more
Went to LA Morena for lunch today. Ordered a chicken burritos and asked for the black beans in the burrito instead of the... refried beans which is not in the food picture that is display behind the counter. The first time I went to La Morena's thechicken burrito was delicious, after that it has never been/tasted the same. The burrito does not taste good anymore????? La Morena is yet another excellent authentic Mexican restaurant in Harrisonburg. I almost always get the tripe tacos, a... quesadilla, and a Mexican Coke. They have an excellent array of salsas to choose from which makes this one of my favoriterestaurants for tacos. It always takes a while, so be patient... It's well worth the wait. Read more
TERRIBLE customer service. Ordered a veggie burrito, as I always do there. Got home, bit into it. Something tastes wrong. Looked... at it, it's meat. Called them at 6:45, went straight to voicemail (what?). Called the next day and asked for a refund on justthat item. They said, "no you ordered lengua (tongue). I assure you, as a 30-year vegetarian I did not order tongue. Instead ofjust saying sorry, they say the mistake is mine. For something that could have cost them $4, they instead lost a customerforever. Nice work. Read more
La Morena is the best Mexican restaurant in Harrisonburg. It is a little different you have to walk up and order your food then... sit down and wait for it to be prepared. Very authentic. Read more
This was my first time here, and it was absolutely amazing. Hilda was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. On... top of that, she was nice and polite. Wonder customer service from her. Good call putting her in front of house. The food: 10stars out of five. Fresh and delicious. This place is half convenience store-half restaurant. There?s three Latina chefs in thekitchen and they know what they?re about. I can?t believe it took me this long to find this place. La Morena is a gem. I willdefinitely be coming back.
