*Updated: I added a star because the restaurant did take the time to reach out with an apology and refund our order. That is... very much appreciated. Hopefully, others will have a better experience going forward. Only giving 2 stars because the pizza isusually decent. We have tried this place a few times, but the experience never gets any better. We ordered one pizza and aspinach dip tonight. It was $50 with tip. My husband had to wait 20 extra minutes because they only made the pizza and not thedip. As he went up to just ask for a refund, so we could take our now cold pizza and crying baby home, they came out with thedip. The spinach dip had 6 small soft pieces of bread to go with it. Our previous trips involved a credit card mix up withanother guest, a $10 salad to go that was just lettuce because they forgot to grab the toppings from the counter (luckily Ichecked before I left), and waiting an extra 10 minutes for a single pie. So, I love their gluten free pizzas. Stopped for 1st time at this location. The service was one of polite indifference, and the... quality of food was just not the same. Definitely my least favorite location and I live in Short Pump! Read more
My family enjoyed everything about our experience at the Mellow Mushroom in Short Pump! We did not encounter a wait to be... seated. Probably due to good timing. The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive without interrupting our meal andconversation. The food was fantastic. Everything was at a great temperature and looked beautiful. Already looking forward toreturning. Drinks were really good and service was quick and friendly, however the pizza wasn?t as hot as I would have wanted. Now we did... have the house specialty with a great deal of vegetables, but I would still expect it to be hotter than it came out. Just mypreference. I would like to go back to try the happy hour and other meals, but it wasn?t the best $30 pizza I?ve had. Read more
Haven't had Mellow Mushroom in a long time! The last visit was on W Cary Street location. This visit was better than I... expected. For takeout I got- a Tempeh Sub, Great White Pizza, and I built my own pizza as well. Will definitely be back! Their dough is the best of the best. Read more
The pizza was great, but it took them almost an hour to make two overpriced hoagies. Our server only came to check-in on us... once. When we were done with the food, we then asked for the check. She asked for our credit card, disappear, then came backwith the check. I think she should have brought us the check first and give us the option to contactlessly pay online. It?s2022, I think the restaurant should step up their game on contactless payment now. Waiters/waitresses should no longer have totouch customers? credit cards because of COVID and privacy purposes. Super cool place with a great vibe. Service was very helpful and kind. The best part of the pizza has to be the crust! Great... lunch specials with a slice, salad and drink. Had the Buffalo chicken. It was ok. Not my most favorite but it was good. If I goback I?d like to try some other options! Read more
