This place deserves 6 stars!! It's a family style restaurant. They provide the sides...coleslaw, beets and the best biscuits... around!!! Choose your entree, and they'll bring green beans and mashed potatoes and white gravy. And for dessert, they havepie...10 or 11 different kinds. This is a place worth going out of your way to visit!!! Read more

Good comfort food and plenty of it. Good, but not the best I've ever eaten. You can't beat the price for what you get 13-15... dollars. This is the type of food I grew up eating. Farm food if you will. No need for menus here, pick your entree and theywill take care of the rest. And, quickly I might add. I have to knock them on the unseasoned green beans. Everything else wasgreat. Heads up!!Cash only. No cards. Will definitely return. Read more

Stopped here for lunch and tried the rueben sandwich and the fried chicken. The sandwich was good and the chicken was well... season and moist. The stars of the place though were their pies. We tried the chocolate pie topped with merengue and it wasexcellent. They don't take credit cards but they can do venmo and they also have an ATM on the premises. Read more

This is a great little stop especially if you're passing by on the 70 food was out really quickly and taste was great service... was quick also. While we didn't enjoy a mile high pie the blueberries pie and strawberry rhubarb pies were both delicious. Read more

In the winter morning, when the roads are foggy and you can?t see Mike?s in front of you, you see the signs for the blue springs... cafe. It?s a wonderful place, warm, with plenty of booths and tables right off the Illinois highway. They serve their mealsfamily style, so make sure you dig in with friends! Their foot high pies are true to their name, though a solid half foot comesfrom the meringue. The staff were super attentive and helpful, and the food itself warms your soul. It?s a great stop on a roadtrip, so long as your journey takes you there. Read more

I got chicken and dumplings from the specials. Good portions to fill you up, but not too much you can't finish. Everything was... fresh, and homemade tasty. Comfort food, but first class. I had chocolate chip pecan pie for the dessert. The server heated itfor me since it was a chilly that day. Best gooey pie I ever had. Yep, a great place I have had a few plates in and alwaysleave happy and full. Read more
