Stopped here for lunch with the family, while we were already in the area. They're a very small diner with friendly and very... courteous staff. My wife and I both tried the crawfish etouffee with dirty rice. The rice tasted great, with lots of seasoning.The etouffee was seasoned well, however the flavor tasted a bit sweeter than I'm used to. I liked the etoufee, but the roux hada flavor that really left a sweetness on the palette. They served it with a slice of cornbread and a small container of butterto spread on it. This place is very sketchy because they don?t have any prices on the menu. We ordered 2 orders of shrimp and gator with fries, 3... piece of boudain balls, and 1 soft drink for $45 at lunch time. Then I had a friend go there later in the day and orderliterally the same exact thing as we did, 2 orders of shrimp and gator with fries, 1 soft drink, and 3 piece of boudin ballsand paid $32!! This food is so bland and not seasoned at all. I?m disappointed. I tried the gumbo and the fish and shrimp. My shrimp was a bit... soggy and discolored on a few pieces and my fish was just not it either the gumbo had like 3 shrimp in the whole thing with noother meat. When you order seafood gumbo you expect seafood. It?s sad when the best thing to eat was the fries. Read more
When you're in a cajun mood, give this place a try. My husband had crawfish etouffee (shown) and seafood gumbo and liked it... very much. I had a fried chicken sandwich and onion rings and it was also very good. Prices are reasonable, quantities arelarge . :) Read more
