The walleye and pinecones were excellent. The pasta however was overcooked, super mushy. The pasta sauce was a tomato Alfredo... which was very tasty. The pasta came with parmesan encrusted chicken breast. It was perfectly cooked and the seasoning was nice,but a tad too salty. Read more
Easily one of the best restaurants around. I have found it hard to find restaurants with an eclectic atmosphere and menu in this... area. This place is exactly that. Fantastic fun place! Atmosphere was friendly, inviting, and accommodating. The 40 minute wait was worth it! Food was severed... Fresh & Hot, and food was served quickly. We ordered the Walleye with the ?pine cones?, which were little fried potatoes shapedlike pine cones. Made from scratch! I ordered the Ruben sandwich, and onion rings. All our food was fantastic, including thefresh bake bread homemade. We would highly recommend this place! We traveled over 1,300 miles to give this place a try. It isworth it! Great job Iron Nugget! Came to the Iron Nugget via referral from a local as place to get a good steak. ???? Mind blowing ribeye!!! Cooked to... perfection and smothered in garlic horseradish sauce. Busy busy busy but well worth the wait! Go out of your way to come here. Oh, almost forgot the hand made bread served toast hot to the table. ???? Delicious! Read more

I go here all the time and I do love it but the last time I was there it started off not great. We walked in and told the... hostess that there was two of us and my husband started saying we don?t mind waiting and then asking if we can go have a drinkfirst. She almost instantly put her hand up in his face and cut him off mid sentence saying I have to check. We don?t ever mindwaiting. The hostess is the first person you see when you walk in and are the face of the restaurant. You don?t want the firstmoment to be a bad one because it will ruin your meal. We will of course be back because we love it there and the food is alwaysgreat. I just hope she will be nicer next time. Read more
We were looking for a great burger or fish fry. The Owner of the motel we stayed at highly recommended Iron Nugget. We chose to... sit at the bar among other great conversing locals and guests. It was great chatting and being very welcoming. My wife and Ieach had the Friday fish fry. She had the breaded fish which had an incredible breading, crisp and crunchy yet not heavy oroily. I had the blackened. Excellent flavors. We were told the fish was haddock! We chose the "pinecones" as our sides. They arelittle pinecone shapes of mashed potatoes lightly breaded and fried. Again, not oily , very great taste. We each added a sidesalad and had fresh baked bread. Service from bar tends was Excellent! We definitely will return next trip. Read more
Great pub in downtown Hurley. Nice atmosphere with lots of exposed brick walls and rough sawn boards. We tried their 'works'... pizza and it was excellent. Friendly staff. We will certainly be back to try their other food options. Nice selection ofcraft beers. Read more
