Amazing! We loved our experience. Scallops are incredible, lamb shank is incredible, and the burrata dal is great as well. I... can’t wait to come back! Great service and I would say worth the hype for some interesting and delicious takes on Indiandishes. Read more

I’m giving a 5 but would be a 4.5 if I could. The food was really good. There wasn’t 1 thing I ate that wasn’t tasty. The... Paneer was one of my favorites, lamb shank - so good, the bread basket is a must get, chicken tikka was good…the list goes on. The service was wonderful, our server was so amiable and gave vivid detail (no exaggeration) about each plate and flavorprofile. Food came out quickly and everyone was friendly and helpful. The acoustics inside could be improved - it’s was tooloud inside so we moved outside as it was easier to have a conversation. Read more

Came here on a date night with my husband and was truly blown away! The food was top notch! We had the scallops as a... recommendation from our server and they were to DIE for. The sauce is legit drinkable. Next up was the chicken tikka tacos- somuch flavor! We also had the bread basket, carrots and broccoli, bass and the chicken Tikka. Everything was amazing! The ownercame by our table many times to check on us. My water was constantly full which I was super impressed by because I drink so muchwater. We will definitely be back! You can tell they work as a team there, it shows. Read more

Worth the recent hype ? Probably yes. Service is great, menu selection is decent - being an Indian restaurant primarily targeted... towards non-indians you may not like certain dishes. They tried to be unique and flavorful, but not necessarily the same dishthat you expect elsewhere. It's in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood of DC ( going by the surroundings ) , found parking onstreet- not sure what the options are if you can't find street parking. Decor is simple and chick. An interesting place that has an experimental approach to Indian food. The serving felt very slow even though the servers were... wonderful. I felt the starters had a unique approach compared to the mains. Duck kebab: Perfectly cooked duck kebab with aspicy kick because of green chills. Felt the sauces were a bit lacking and didn’t go well with the Kebab. Loved the dishthough. Murgh Makhani - The dish is pretty close to the authentic dish. It was a good dish but I have had better tasting onesin India. Not worth the price. Gulab Jamun: Excellent hot Jamun with cardamom ice cream and pistachio. Loved it. MonsoonCocktail: It had a sweet feel with a bit of heat because of green chili. Zaatar Naan: My favorite item. An experimental dishthat works really well. Do try it. The servers were friendly and respectful but I had to wait half an hour after starter forthe mains so they took almost 1 hr to prepare the murgh. Additionally, they asked me to change seat while eating to get morechair spaces. It was a bit awkward as they were the ones who showed me the initial seat. They gave a free dessert to compensatefor the inconveniences. I am happy with the food and presentation but unsatisfied with experience offered for the price. Maybea good place to takeout. Read more

Came in for dinner on Friday. We ordered a wide variety of dishes and enjoyed some of their incredible cocktails. Come hungry... and order a variety. The lasooni lamb chops were my favourite dish of the mains. Read more

Made a reservation on a Saturday evening. They ask you to show your proof of vaccination before being seated (which was good).... The place was clean and they made sure our table is clean after each course. The staff were friendly and polite (everyonewearing masks) and the service was great. They have a crafted (limited) cocktail menu. I got the Monsoon Mood which was perfect.Coming to the food: DON'T GO WITH THE PRECONCEIVED NOTION OF INDIAN FOOD SHOULD ALWAYS BE SPICY WITH BOLD FLAVORS. IF YOU DO,YOU MIGHT BE A BIT DISAPPOINTED. The menu is a fusion of north Indian food. Most of the food was on the mild side. Here is whatwe got: 1. Black Daal Burrata - A must dish here (I am not a big fan of Dal). The cheese in the center was a nice touch. 2.Scallops Moilee - A pinch of gun powder on top of the scallops was a great touch and the sauce complemented the spice. 3. SpicyNawabi Duck Kebab - This dish is spicy and the meat was super tender. 4. Paneer Pesto Tikka - This was good but wish there wasmore pesto and the Paneer cubes were a bit smaller. 5. Wild Mushroom Biryani - This was on the lighter side. A bit on the blandside for me, but had a good flavor to it. 6. Nariyal Lamb Shank - This portion was huge and you can pull the meat with justfingers (it was that tender). But it had a pungent lamb flavor (which I am not a fan of). But it was a good dish. 7. Breadbasket - Apart from the Herb Laacha, the other two were mundane. 8. Gulab Jamoon and Beetroot Halwa - I would get the jamoon andthe Ice cream had a slight smoky flavor and the jamoon was perfectly cooked. 9. Masala Chai was also good. I would get a side ofraw onion and green chilli on the side (a typical thing to do with north Indian food). I would get 1,2,3, 6 (if you are a lambfan) and 7 without hesitation. There is street parking for two hours (free), finding a spot will be difficult. Overall a goodplace with a nice atmosphere. Read more
