We held my daughter's wedding at Green Gables this past weekend. Perfection! Teresa was wonderful from the moment the venue... was selected through to the following day when we picked up our items. It is a gorgeous location to hold a reception. Theoutdoor patio was perfect for the cocktail hour. The Tuscany Room offered the perfect romantic setting for the dinner anddancing. Thank you Teresa! I love the look and feel of this beautiful old building. It does have the smell of an old building - my husband says it's... "woodsy". Id call it something else, but I still enjoyed the atmosphere. The menu is very creative and the food was delicious!Our server was terrific. I was sorry to hear that the playhouse is no longer next door. We didn't know that they were BYOB, butour server took very good care of us, and we were very grateful for that! Read more
We had our wedding at Green Gables as a last minute venue and it was better than what my first choice would have been. They were... extremely accommodating with my decorations and helped incorporate them into my wedding. They created amazing floralcenterpieces using the vessels I provided. Green Gables staff ensured the day ran smoothly by decorating, conducting therehearsal, and day of. They quickly responded to all my questions. We were able to stay, have our wedding guests stay, have ourrehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all on site. All the guests were asking how I found this hidden gem! We celebrated our wedding at Green Gables in October. Our guests were definitely wowed with the venue! Food was fantastic (just... not sure where the leftovers went. As there was food not eaten and none was sent home with us), bar service was on point, andTeresa definitely kept things moving! I think my only complaint would be I wish we could have had the ceremony earlier than 5 togive more time for pictures and dancing after dinner. Read more
Always a great experience. Beautiful old rustic style restaurant, event center, and summer theater. Very cozy with several... fireplaces, hand hewn beams and large windows providing natural light. Interesting history of the place too so be sure to grab aflyer at the door or ask the owner Theresa who always seems to be helping somewhere. I've been there for a really nice weddingand for a Thanksgiving buffet. The food is excellently prepared by a team of very capable chefs. This place is not cheap, but itprovides an excellent value with the bonus of a wonderful atmosphere. Read more
