Golden Krust is Jamaican Carribean cuisine packaged into a franchise, sadly this location did not up load what the brand is... known for, which is "Authentic Jamaican" cuisine. The "Jamaican Escovitch" is a particular dish that's made a particular way,and it did not have those key ingredients which gives its flavorful signature taste. Jamaican Oxtail is also a staple which italso lacked in as well. I buy a curry goat with peas and rice on 11/17/22 & the curry is soo dark, thick and saltyyyy , I cannot enjoy .this is the 3rd... time. & the rice is sometimes not so fresh. Todays rice was ok. I miss Brooklyn Caribbean food so much. Please do better, I?mnew heree in Nj ???? tell the chef go easy on the salttttt please . It?s my favorite Jamaican cuisine restaurant around me. Love the peas and rice with oxtails. Delicious and always done to... perfection. Love the service and the attendants always take my order perfect. If I ask for extra gravy, no problem. Read some not so good comments by purchasing in store so I decided to buy through a delivery app. First time trying a Caribbean... dish and I hit a jackpot on this resto, the braised oxtail is definitely a must try dish - flavor is balance and serving isgenerous. Today Me and my wife went to Golden Krust for Dinner Tonight.. We order The oxtails which is her favorite dish... Well We... arrived home and my Wife Begins to Go in immediately...As soon as she ate One of the Oxtails She begins to say whole bunch ofexplicts... She follows up by saying the oxtails we Rock hard and The Rice was Burnt!!!! She was so upset ????... I wouldn't???? recommend this Golden Krust!! I paid almost 50$ For food that we couldn't eat or enjoy... I'm tired of wasting my Money atthe Establishment and This isn't the First but its going to be My last.. You need to stop selling stale soup. As a Jamaican I know when soup is freshly cooked. Went there on July 30th and purchased 2... soups. The soup was so stale which got me so sick until I almost vomited out my tripe the whole day. I was told that I can comeback and get 2 soups, now only to be told "NO" I can't get it. That woman on the phone was so rude. Is this the way you treatcustomers Golden Krust??? Wow! Just wow! You just lost another customer.... "People please beware, don't buy their soup early inthe morning or none at all because it's STALE overnight soup that's heated up the following day!!!!" Shame on you Golden Krust!And to the manager/management your staff need proper training/mentoring sessions. You better thank God I didn't file a lawsuitfor that STALE soup which was sold to me that made me sick. It's not the first I have had bad experience with this specificbranch. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. I enjoyed the food, but had a few minor issues. The peas and rice were a... little dry and I received a double serving of rice instead of my cabbage. I did enjoy the festival bread, a sweet fried piece ofbread.
