I have loved Lamar's since I was a kid. My grandpa would drive to Kansas City from Lawrence to get Lamar's and I always looked... forward to wolfing down a monster maple long John and a chocolate glazed donut and cruellers and old fashioneds on and on thelist goes. TO THIS DAY I still love Lamar's and the last two times I went in I was blessed with some absolute gems, all theaforementioned pastries were on my proverbial plate (which was actually just the bag mushed flat in my lap because I couldn'twait to reach my destination [I know, I know I should stop eating donuts and driving, I should know better, my first caraccident involved donuts and driving]) and those babies have stood the test of time. Donuts are always 5 stars the best in the city! Customer service not so much. You might run into the some rude people with... attitudes depending on the day. My advice is read the room if they don't greet you, don't take it personal order your donuts andkeep it moving you aren't there to make friends. Afterwards bite your donut, and automatically a smile will come to your face.On the other side, greet kindness with kindness and still go about your day.???? Read more
