An amazing experience. The chefs were charismatic, the service was top notch and the food was fantastic.

Went for hibachi to celebrate a birthday. We just weren't really impressed by the food here or the overall atmosphere. The fried... rice was floating in oil, the dipping sauces were sweet and unusual and the portion of salmon and steak served wasdisappointing, especially since I paid $46 for my meal. Service was okay, our hibachi chef was boring but it seemed that thechefs around us put on a much energetic show. Won?t be back Read more

Probably not return at least for awhile. Seemed dirty, rice all over, bathroom terrible. Our chef got into it with a customer... who wanted steak well done. He objected said shouldn?t be cooked that way. Embarrassing to him. Also chef not very enthusiastic. What happened to the show? Some drinks strong, some week. Yes it was busy but that place needs a makeover.Vernon hills. Read more

Have visited this restaurant a few times in the past. We like to go there for special occasions. Unfortunately, our visit on... Sunday Aug. 21, 2022 at 7:30pm, was far less than what we expected. We reserved for a party of 4 adults, at a hibachi table. It was to be a birthday celebration for our son, who was turning 23 years old. The tradition in our family is that we always togo a Japanese Steakhouse / Hibachi restaurant on these special dates. We had barely put our "butts in the chairs" at our table, before our server presented herself, and pretty much demanded that we place our order. After explaining to her (Ming was hername) that we'd not even had a chance to look at the menu yet, she walked away. When she returned (1 minute later) to take ourorder, we told her that we'd like to order some apps and sushi. She directed us to the "flip side" of the dinner menu where shesaid their sushi offerings were. I've been to this restaurant several times in the past, and reminded her that there IS a sushi"check off" menu that we'd like to order from. Begrudgingly, she then acknowledged that she'd bring the "sushi menu"...onlyafter I had demanded to see it. If that wasn't bad enough, she then returned about 10 seconds later, and demanded that we placeour order! I told her at that point that I didn't want to be "rushed" and that we would let her know when we were ready toorder our sushi and apps. That episode put a very bad taste in our mouths (no pun intended) about the whole dining experienceahead of us. I really don't remember too much more about the night, because I felt that we were unwelcome, and a nuisance tothe wait staff. Our hibachi chef was John. I suppose he's experienced enough (and we were reminded of that by the waitstaff,,,,about how "lucky" we were to have 'John' as our chef.) Gotta say, though, I felt that he was a bit snarky (as did ourparty of 4ppl. feel that way.) He made a snide remark to me, as he prepared the meal, to "NOT Read more

Usually amazing food with a good show. Tonight our cook was meh. Luckily I was with great company to make the night a success.

Came to Tsu Kasa for a family birthday celebration. Disappointing experience right from the start. Cook top was filthy and the... table dirty before we were seated. I asked that they clean it and they looked at me like I was a regular Karen. The chef cameout and cooked our rice right on the dirty grill. Disgusting. After that, they no longer recognize birthdays. At these Tsu Kasahigh prices we would have been better off going to Kobe of Japan in Lake Zurich. Read more

Save your money, go somewhere else. The best tasting item I had was the vegetables. Drink refills were very slow, we asked for a... side of spicy mayo which we then had to ask for more 3 times before they actually got it to us, and charged us $2 for it withoutever saying it would cost anything. Sitting at the hibachi table, I sadly had the smoke in my face the entire meal. Orderedgolden shrimp which is supposed to have an egg yoke sauce but it basically came out as flavorless lard. Can't fully express howdisappointed we were with this meal which ended up being $50/person. SO, save your money. Go elsewhere. Read more

I originally was looking for all you can eat sushi but I came across this restaurant since it has good ratings and in the area.... I didn?t know coming in that it is hibachi style restaurant (or you can choose a normal seating). Overall the food was prettygood, although the vegetables could have been on the grill longer and cooked more thoroughly. I ordered sushi from the sushibar, and my husband ordered from the grill. It was good but I just felt like it was over priced. We had a waiter that was reallynice but the other people working there would ignore you if you needed help or had a question. Overall it wasn?t terrible butprobably won?t come again ???? Read more
