Been here once. Food was great. I believe I got a hamburger, my grandmother got the fish and chips, and I forget what my aunt... got. The food I remember was well put together and flavorful. The food was delicious however they didn't have many options for those with shellfish allergies due to cross contamination as... most of their food is fried in the same oil as their shellfish. I would urge the people that run the establishment to considerhaving a second fryer available to prevent anybody going into anaphylaxis due that. Read more

The Rose and Crown is the ultimate restaurant to go for fish and chips. Batter is always done perfectly golden brown. The fish... is never under or over cooked served with a decent amount of nice golden fresh cut fries. If you like hot wings they do themperfectly as well. Especially the breaded ones. Awesome wait and bar staff. The owners are very friendly and down to earth typeof people who are always eager to have a chat. Draft is always ice cold served in an ice cold glass. Does life get any betterthan that? I've been going there for years and is the only place I go for halibut and chips my personal favourite. If youhaven't been there yet. Give it a try. The food is usually very good here. My wife had the liver and onions and really enjoyed it. But I was very disappointed with my... Triple Decker Club. I think they use Texas-style bread and it's way too thick for a triple decker club. Just way too much breadand way too little chicken. You'll probably enjoy most everything else, but avoid the club. I ordered the halibut and chips it was either not even a halibut or severely undercooked as anybody knows that has ever had... halibut the meat is always white as snow this was more of the color of salmon so I?m not sure what it was or severely undercooked, the french fries could?ve used another minute or so soggy far from crispy, my wife had crabcakes just OK I don?t know ifthey make them in the house or buy them already made nothing to write home about, we ordered gravy on the side tasted more likecanned gravy then homemade and you don?t gets coleslaw with the order, maybe you pay separately for that, definitely will not goback if that was the best they could do.
