My daughter says this place is always busy, and there's always a line. After dinner we took a drive down by The Pearl Ice cream... shop, and were not disappointed. She had a single serving of cotton candy, which was delivered in a perfect pink scoop in acardboard cup. And I ordered a hot fudge sundae, complete with whipped cream, chopped peanuts (you can also choose pecans orcashews), and of course, a cherry. All this while watching the servers perform their magic from behind a 30s-style soda fountaincounter. I believe you can even order phosphates! Noticed the ice cream parlor and the connected confectionary from down the street while eating at another restaurant. Finally... got the chance to check it out and was not disappointed. Once you step inside, you are greeted by the wonderful smell of thesweets and chocolate. It's not overbearing but it does make you wonder what they have. In the ice cream parlor, they have manyof the regular flavors as well as a few others that are seasonal. I had the strawberry and the fudge brownie chunks (vanilla,cookie dough, brownie and a whole lot of delicious). You pay by the scoop and they don't skimp out on how much ice cream theyserve you. We rented the ice cream cart for our wedding and it was a hit with our guests! The Pearl was so easy to work with and... communicated via email throughout the process. They even let us keep our ice cream in the cart overnight to pick up the nextmorning at the venue. They even credited us $20 to our bill after they had to increase prices after we booked the cart. Wealways loved coming here on date nights and loved incorporating The Pearl ice cream into our wedding! Read more
