I didn't know you needed a reservation but they still sat me and my partner down and didn't make us feel like a burden at all,... despite them being so busy our waitress was attentive,nice and got our food and drinks out to us in a timely manner. What an incredible experience! We did high tea, and it was so lovely. It makes you try things that you wouldn?t necessarily try.... The teas were delicious and so flavorful. The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly. After lunch we looked in the little shopand got some teas and cute tea accessories! If you love tea, this is the place to go! Read more
Our group made a visit to ?Sugarplums and Teas* our members rated the tea flavor with 5 stars but were not happy that more teas... flavors were charged extra! sandwiches and soup got 5 stars too! Unfortunately the desserts was not as expected and rated 2stars only! Read more
First time here. My friend and I both got the Garden tea choice for a late lunch. All was lovely. We will be back again soon.
Staff was super friendly when my grandmother and I came in for high tea. The first issue I noticed though was that I made a... reservation for high tea but they didn't seem to know that. High tea takes a little while to get ready and most places preparethings a head of time. Through my first pot of tea I still had no food which I thought was very odd. The tea was fantastic butwith no pairings it seemed incomplete. We then had to sit for a while with no tea and still no food. Most tea place I've been tofor high tea have prepared things ahead of time for a more streamlined experience. The high tea tower blocks the view ofwhomever you're sitting with which isn't great for conversation. Creme of potato soup was fantastic but I was disappointed withthe amount of soup. Scones were super dry and didn't have any butter or sauce although the taste was good. Chicken salad openface sandwich was pretty good although a little on the dry side. You pretty much have to eat it with a fork though. The roastbeef cracker was pretty good although there was a hint of a stale flavor on the cracker. Cucumber sandwiches are usually betteron pumpernickel bread. The deserts were fairly good although unremarkable except the lemon bar which was phenomenal. $50 for 2high tea isn't a bad price. The service and food was great. I don't like tea but my 5 yr old loves tea parties. My mother in law though it would be perfect... to take her there for her 5th bday and she absolutely loved it. I even enjoyed the tea. At the end they surprised her with awarm dessert we didn't even ask for. Will definitely be back with my other daughters ???? Read more
Such a cute place to take your Mom or hang out with friends. Love how they present everything, from the porcelain tea cups to... the tiered display of petite sandwiches and dessert. Well worth the money. And their scones? So amazing! The Manager and waitstaff were super accommodating. We were running late to our reservation and offered to give our table up. But they insisted thatwe would be ok. They never rushed us. Thank you again for being accommodating! My Mom and I had such a great time chatting overyour delicious preparations. Today was our second visit to Sugarplums and Tea.... Our first experience was about 5 years ago. Unfortunately, compared to that... visit, this one was a bit of a let down. The menu selection, & tea was very nice. The chicken apple walnut salad was deliciousthough portion size was rather small. What I found disappointing was the atmosphere felt rushed and were spoken to in what weperceived as an abrupt manner when we wanted to purchase some teas to take along home. It's wonderful that this lovelyestablishment has become so popular & busy, but please don't forget how to make people feel welcome like we did at our firstvisit. Read more
