I've had a go to place for donairs and pizza for over 30 years. This past summer decided to give El Centro a try and can... honestly say their food is delicious, even better than my go to place, which I thought was the best. Donairs,pizza, fish andchips, everything !! And portions are generous. Just wish I lived closer as I am in downtown Hfx. But today, will be in area,and will definitely be stopping in. I had been bragging to my wife about the great Shawarma wrap I had gotten on a trip by El Centro a year or so ago. She had never... had one before so she decided to pick up a couple of wraps for Friday night supper. The wraps turned out to be quitedisappointing as they were nothing like what I had before. Basically a french fry sandwich with a couple of pickles and a littlegarlic sauce. But little did I know there are two kinds of Shawarma, we had just ordered incorrectly. They are handy and they make good food, why go to town? The menu has a lot of options. The donair egg rolls are the best I've... ever had. The pizza is always delicious and full of toppings. Fish and chips on point. Shawarma on point. Just do it! Theylost a star for not answering the phone on busy night...I know it was busy... but that was annoying. Read more

I've been getting takeout at El Centro for years and can definitely state that everything on the menu is very tasty. Pizza is... excellent, wings are addictive, and the fish and chips are as good as you will find anywhere. The owner / cook is a master atcreating great food. Everytime I try something new I am impressed. Order anything and you will love it. Read more
Always super friendly and the food is amazing! Can't get enough of the double layered poutine, donair egg rolls are to die for,... and the pizza is just incredible. So happy to have this gem right down the road! Read more
I've always liked the pizza and wings at El Centro, but the other day I tried the Shawarma wrap and was absolutely blown away.... Has to be the best Shawarma I've ever had. The garlic sauce is without a doubt the best in Halifax. Read more
