From the moment I drove right past this place, while looking for it, for the second time, I knew something was going to be... different about this burger. I travel for work. Not enough to see landmarks, but more that enough to try the best baconcheeseburger in whichever town I'm in. The first taste of literally just the bun confirmed what I already expected; I have founda winner. This was the best bacon cheeseburger I've had out of over 20 choices from Llano to Lampasas. The burger was absolutely delicious, a little over cooked for my preference but very tasty. The bread was nice and fluffy. The... mac n cheese was just OK nothing special. I had a double meat bacon cheese burger with a side of mav for $18 so a little priceyfor a burger, but still very good. Read more
Man where do I start. These guys blew me away. Such great burgers and those fries and signature sauce were too good. It was a... little bit of a wait especially for a weekday but that?s a great sign for a successful business. We ended up calling dibs on aseat p early so we were good after we ordered the food, which came promptly. The burgers were cooked to the right temperature,great flavor and the bun was very different almost carrying a sweet flavor to it. First time here. The burgers were very good and huge, however my burger which I asked for only onions on was literally covered... with grilled onions that would have been enough for 4 burgers sheesh a little onion goes a long way.. The beer battered frieswere very good. Speed of service inside was fine. The drive thru however seemed very backed up. Multiple cars still sitting inthe parking Lanes for a long time. Wife had some onion rings, I did not find these that impressive, bland breading and verythin. Next time will try the shrimp or chicken. Limited indoor seating but also have a covered outdoor patio. This place was packed with cars at 1-2pm on a Saturday. The Major cheese burger was pretty good. The meat was not over cooked... and chewy. The burger was loaded with the right amount of lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and pickles. I do not eat burgers oftenbut I enjoyed this one. The beer battered fries with the jalapeño ranch dipping sauce was a perfect match together. The frieswere crispy and not too oily, where it leaves grease stains on your fingers. My order: Cheese Burger Combo with a side ofBeer Battered Fries and Strawberry Lemonade as well as Jalapeno Ranch Customer Service: 5/5 - Friendly and we'll staffed Foodtaste: 5/5 - As advertisied! - Cheese Burger: The first bite took my mind back to the first time I had a burger at ChurchPicnic. The crispy and juicy patty is definitely get you full. - Beer Battered Fries: Wow! This was my first time, it was crispyon the outside and soft on the inside. Dipped in jalapeno ranch is the best way to enjoy this. - Jalapeno Sauce: Should be abrand we buy at our local HEB. - Strawberry Lemonade: Delicious, sweet with hints of strawberries inside of it. Second time coming and it was pretty good, I can?t stand sweet buns and they have an unsweet wheat bun that was a great... alternative! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese and fried pickles as my side, my daughter ordered thechicken tenders, seasoned fries and white gravy. It?s ONLY MY OPINION, but I just don?t find it appealing when everything isfried with the same batter. No variation of seasonings or anything. The gravy needed salt, the jalapeño ranch was really good.Staff were working their butts off and we?re very friendly. Overall I would come back and order a burger on a wheat bun withregular fries.
