The food is good, the atmosphere is nice, service was good. The issue is, do I belive the price is reasonable for what I'm... getting? mmm not really. And I know they justify by saying it's kosher, but it's not cause other places are kosher and are less, they can say because of ingredients, but they are not expensive ingredients, I mean the mushroom pizza had common mushrooms sonot sure why a tiny pizza cost $25 (after tax and 20% tip that they make you pay your paying about $30) I have gone to placeslike Cafe Noir in florida, their white truffle pizza is $15 for the 10 inch and $23 for 16 inch they put more expensivemushrooms, truffle oil, fresh buffalo cheese etc, and they are the same kind of high level kosher milk restaurant. Also if youare charging so much and you are making a high class restaurant, then atleast bring some bread or something for clients whiletheir food is being made, it would make a difference in the experience and wouldn't cost you more than $1 cause you guys makeyour own dough, and people wouldn't starve while waiting 3 15-30min for a pasta or pizza to come out. I will tell you,the pestopizza was good, worth the price? Mmm don't think so, I think I would have to think twice before coming back and most probablywould end up in Tel aviv pizza or chalavi. As a one time experience and cause it was the only place opened after 9 it was ok.,would I purposely go again as a choice with the few other places like Emma's, sandwich club, Ej's. Nope. You guys are startingout so I bet you will slowly take in the constructive criticism I'm giving you. Hatzlacha, you're in a good start. Read more

We went here for brunch just as they opened and we have an absolutely incredible meal. Starting off the staff was amazing and... attentive, they recommend delicious things and added to a great environment. The food was delicious. We got wonderful coffeeand chocolate drinks and cocktails with our meal. Although the chocolate cocktail I got was supposed to be spicy but I didn'ttaste anything beyond a good drink. The bbq pizza was phenomenal as well as the gnocchi in the testing menu. Really everythingwe tasted was delicious. My only issue is with the music as it can get very loud in the restaurant but the staff wereapologetic for it. Read more

All I can say is wow. As a self-acclaimed "foodie from NYC" I can honestly say that Nuovo was hands down the best dairy... restaurant I have ever dined at. Arguably best restaurant period. Dairy OR meat. Every dish that came out from that kitchen wasjust perfect. I could not find anything to nitpick at and critique. The food looks incredible and tastes even better. So fresh,so unique. Truly a remarkable dining experience. Nuovo is better than any New York City dairy restaurant I have ever been to andI've been to them all. The tuna tartare is something special. The arancini balls are out of this world. The tagliatellemushroom is the best pasta dish I have ever tasted. The waiter also came to shave fresh parmesan on top. The pasta is handmade. The truffle oil. The fresh mushrooms. It just comes together so magnificently. My wife had the sea bass which was alsobeautiful, delicious and just perfect. We also got the chocolate tartufo for dessert which was so unique and rich. We also gotthe smoke show cocktail which was from the best cocktails I have ever experienced. The ambiance is beautiful and rustic. Theservice is fantastic too. The food came super quick. Any restaurant would be lucky to have Chad as a waiter. So passionate, kindand dedicated. The owners are super nice and friendly as well. We left our meal - simply blown away. This will become our newmust-visit stop when we are in town. It is THAT good and then some. Can't recommend it enough. 5 STARS! Read more

So glad we gave this place a try! It's in walking distance from our house. Who would think a kosher Italian place would be such... a find?! Cute space. The food was great! We began with their tuna Tartar. The only thing it was missing was a kick. Needed aheat/spice component. Otherwise, it was lovely. The beet salad was perfect in taste and presentation...fresh with beautifullybalanced ingredients. The truffle oil mushroom pizza was to die for. $23 for a beautiful thin thin crust delight. More thanenough for one person. I took some home. They have a pizza oven, though it may be electric vs wood burning. The homemade pastawas great! My guy had the mushroom tagliatelle pasta. He enjoyed it. They also comp-ed us a delightful Mac n cheese type app totry. So so good. Will definitely go back! The prices are a bit high, but if you don't get booze you can certainly not break thebank. Happy to have Nuovo in our neighborhood! All kinds of folks were coming in too, not just those who abide strictly bykosher. Check it out! Only negative was the bright lights. Dim those babies! It's not a interrogation. Ambiance is important ina space. Makes it a place to want to return to. And also the new staff could use a little in-service on some basic classiccocktails that aren't listed on the menu as well as pacing of items. No one wants everything they order to come all at the sametime. Easy fix though. Read more

Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, and wonderful service! Everything was so well presented and came out very fast (although... we went on a Tuesday night so it wasn?t very busy). The food was very tasty, and lots of tempting options on the menu. Favoritesincluded the arancini and the tagliatelle with mushrooms. The beet salad was good although the dressing seemed a bit sweet forme. The spinach and artichoke pizza and the Camembert frito were good as well. Read more

I forgot to post this then, so I?ll do it now? My wife and I went to Nuovo in Chicago, a while back, and omg was it delicious!... First of all, really nice place, great ambiance, perfect for a date night. They have indoor and outdoor seating, though theinside is beautiful, so I recommend it. My wife got the tuna tartare as an appetizer, which I kept picking at, since it was thebest tuna tartare I?ve had. I generally like tuna tartare, but don?t love it, though I absolutely loved theirs (great chipstoo)! She also got the gnocchi, which was similarly delicious. It had heirloom cherry tomatoes and basil, was in a red pomodorosauce, which had such a good flavor, and had cubes of mozzarella (which looked nice, and tasted good, though neither of usthought it really added much to the overall taste of the dish). I got the tagliatelle and the truffle pizza, which we bothloved! The truffle pizza was very reminiscent of the Funghi pizza at Cork And Slice (which is a really good thing). It hadcremini mushrooms, parmesan sauce, chives and truffle oil, and was absolute perfection. The tagliatelle also had creminimushrooms, truffle parmesan cream sauce, roasted wild mushrooms and pea shoots (which I gave to my wife). It was creamy, flavorful and also had that wonderful mushroom/truffle taste (I guess I was in a mushroom mood ???????????). We also got somesort of a mocha drink (forgot what it was called, and it?s not on the website), which was good, but not so much our thing. Weordered a lot, so we had plenty of leftovers, which I was thrilled about, as I got to eat it for lunch and then again for dinneron the plane the next day. The prices were also really reasonable, not overly expensive for an upscale dairy restaurant. Thewaitress was extremely friendly and attentive, and we were able to pay the bill using a QR code, which I?m sure is not unique tohere, but it was the first time I saw it and was really convenient and cool. All in all, amazing experience at Nuovo Chicag Read more
