I went to go eat there one night last week and I sat there for awhile and the wait staff just kept walking right by me and... didn't help or ask me if I needed anything, but the night manager on duty Austin was amazing and he took great care of me andapologized for the way that I was treated. If it wasn't for Austin I would not ever go back there again. I just wanted to letyou guys know that Austin is an amazing person who has a great attitude. Thank you buddy for taking care of me. Noisy, crowded, and mediocre food. I imagine the skimpy outfits go a long way to overcoming the poor service for some of this... establishment?s clientele. I?m not much of a drinker so I can?t judge their drinks, but most people here seem to come for beeranyway, plus appetizers and the crowd ? and maybe the outfits? I don?t want to sound dismissive, I just have eaten here severaltimes and nothing is at the level of even most local diners, so I don?t see the appeal. Sorry, I really would like to like itbecause other people seem to be enjoying themselves. UPDATE: the reply to my review cribbed from a Yogi Berra anecdote, whichboth shows their cheeky, fun attitude, and ignores what I thought I made explicitly clear several times, that people seem to behaving a good time but not necessarily because of the mediocre food. We ordered drinks, no problem. We ordered chips and queso, no problem. Placed our order and didn?t think there was gonna be a... problem. My wife had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and it was good as always. I ordered the ribeye(steak of theday at market price which she said was $22.99). She brought me chicken fried steak with gravy and French fries and Texas toast. I had to tell her it was wrong and she said she grabbed the wrong plate. 15 minutes later she came back with the ribeye(thincut, not a regular ribeye that has a market price of $14.99/lb) and the same fries and toast that were on the previous plate(youcan see the bit of gravy on the fry). The steak was fresh, the fries were fresh from the previous plate. Very disappointed withthis visit. They are usually great in all aspects. We will be back, but it won?t be for a while. Read more

Caprock Cafe has a cool country sports bar atmosphere with a lot of menu options. The Pecos Queso was really good and had a kick... to it, I loved the chilies in it. The garlic broccoli was also very good and flavorful. The meats had good flavor, although Ianticipated a little more chicken in the chicken sandwich. It's definitely a place I'd return to. The prices were right, foodwas good and satisfying, service was excellent, and our waitress even offered us drinks to go. Read more
Just driving through Lubbock on our way back to Colorado and found this Cafe. The food was good and plentiful but the best part... of the evening was the service. It was a bit chilly under the fans so the hostess and our server very happily moved us toanother table. We ordered the Supreme nachos and the Works Grilled Chicken sandwich, which was excellent! Fun atmosphere andwill have to come back some time as there were many things on the menu we'd like to try! Read more
Stopped in for a late lunch. We ordered the supreme Texas sized nachos and there was more than plenty for 2 to share. (We got a... take out container for basically a whole 'nother serving or two of nachos! ????) The Fresh Margarita was amazing and the bestI've ever had! Service was phenomenal as always. Read more
Professional and very attentive bartenders. Service was fast. Can be busy at times, but servers don't make you feel that you are... rushed to "eat & go". Friendly all around atmosphere. Read more
