We WERE gonna eat at Chicken Express today. Went to both the 82nd St (off University) and the 4th & Slide locations, only to... find that both dining rooms were closed. Supposedly due to lack of staff. But both had cars lined up around the buildings. Maybeclose the drive thru and remember how messy fried chicken is when trying to eat In a vehicle. I've tried to get food here so many times I feel like a fool. It takes so long to order I end up just giving up. They have drive... thru only and the amount of pre-coooked chicken that's stacked up it shouldn't take as long as 45 minutes to get food. Theyclaim that they are understaffed to support dining room, despite people standing around and every one else in the city (as wellas other Chicken Express localations in nearby towns) can find a way to open dining. It's unacceptable to not have the diningroom open and it really shows how little the owners think of their employees if they can't even pay someone enough to open thedining room. I personally believe it's laziness and trying to make as much money as possible while spending as little aspossible. The way this business is run, deflecting blame and while hiding true intentions, I expect them to cover their windowsso we can't see what's going on inside. Read more
What I had five stars except for the woman who was taking my order was extremely impatient. I do not frequent Chicken Express so... I did not know exactly what was on their order and she was very impatient with me and I won't be going back for quite some timeif I do. Read more
Food was okay but getting charged for food and sauce i didn't buy really annoyed me. The drive thru worker seemed annoyed I was... even there and then to charge extra on top wasn't cool neither were the handful (some large) of cold fries. Read more
I love the chicken here! The drive thru service sucks! As I sit here for 30 minutes waiting for my food, there?s 4-5 employees... standing around joking. Maybe get some tips from Chick-Fil-A. Their drive thru is NEVER slow. Read more
Really disappointed in this visit. We wanted the $27 chicken tender special to go. Went inside to order. Added family side of... okra. Didn?t wait to long so that was good. Except when employee brought food. We had to ask for gravy that came with. And hadto ask for the gallon of tea that went with it as we walked out door. Apparently we should of checked the bag before we left. Wegot all the way home and didn?t get the okra. The tenders were fresh. But the biscuits and fries were cold and greasy. Read more
They don't have dine in available, and the drive-through takes forever. Service has gone downhill since covid.
