The food was good. However, the service was really bad. We didn?t get some of the food we ordered. We never got any refills. The... server only came back to the table once. She acted like she didn?t want to be there. She didnt ask if we needed anything, butsaid do you want the check, set it down, and walked away. I understand being busy on a Sunday morning and wanting to turn overtables fairly quickly, but that was ridiculous. We should not have been rushed that bad. We didn?t even finish our food. Edoted review 8.5.22 Not the best visit tonight. Here is a list of issues we had: 1) we both ordered breakfast that had... biscuits and gravy - we received a basket with 2 Cornbread and 2 biscuits- no gravy. When we asked about the gravy, we weretold they had run out of gravy. I had chicken fried steak with a very small dollop of gravy, 2) No one refilled my waterduring the entire meal - I drink alot of water. 3) brought my husband poached eggs when he ordered over medium, 4) the serverdropped the wrong check on our table, then came back and grabbed it off the table and dropped off another check and didn't sayanything to us, 5) server only checked on us 1 time right after the food was delivered by another server, 6) we had to ask twiceto get silverware. Granted, this was a Friday night, but not all the sections were open and they had plenty of people working. Pretty disappointed during this visit. I love this restaurant! I almost always order breakfast. but occasional will get thechicken and dumplings because they are very close to how my mom made them. Food is always consistently good with lots ofvariety - breakfast and lunch/dinner items. Biscuits and cornbread muffins with every meal!! You can spend hours roaming inthe country store that has candy, clothing, toys, knick knacks and candles. Pretty rare that we leave without buying something. Read more

Lubbock, Tx Cracker Barrel was FANTASTIC! This was my first visit to any Cracker Barrel and I was impressed from the time I... stepped out of the car and felt invited to the porch! Coming from Central California, this was an absolute treat and I leftwishing we had one nearby. Delicious food, amazing staff, and prices from a previous era! Despite there not being many people in the dining room, there was still a 15-minute wait before we were seated. I assume this is... due to lack of wait staff, as we waited about 12 minutes before someone came to take our orders. When we got our food, the cornmuffins were fresh and hot, but my dinner was actually cold and the green beans were so stringy that I couldn't finish them.Thankfully, Dad's stuffed cheesecake pancake was hot. Then the mobile pay app was acting up, so it appeared as though my paymentdidn't go through. We waited in line at the cashier's to pay, and then were told it had processed. I ended up tippingtwice. Regarding the store portion, they have a good selection of Halloween and end-of-season summer stuff. Picked up a supercute gnome Halloween shirt and a blue bird wind chime for 40% off. Read more

It's a good thing the food is good because the service is mediocre at best. The hostess Page has been rude every time we have... gone these past few weeks and seems she never wants to be at work. Our waiters/waitresses have not been attentive or reallyengaging. If you are willing to put up with this to enjoy the food, have at it. Read more

Well here we are again. Went to Cracker Barrel this am. Ordered eggs sausage and pancakes. Well the pancakes went to butter... them it was like buttering toast. Went to take a bite. Like chewing toast. Tries my bacon like laggy taffy not good. Tried myeggs the looked fake tasted about the same.
