Okay so this was my first time at this restaurant The two ladies that were there were very nice but nobody was there and now I... see why nobody was there they have all the prices in their menus marked out so you don't know how much you're spending I askedfor Birria tacos. For three of them it's $14.03 you get three soggy tacos a few cooked onions two limes a little bit of onionsand cilantro and you get a lip with $14 I didn't get no beans I didn't get no rice or nothing else The meat is very dry and Ithink I'm just very overall disappointed no TVs were on no nothing would not recommend this restaurant for those tacos Read more

Ate here with the family. Enchiladas Verdes: 4/5. Just need a little more salsa verde but really good nonetheless. Camarones ala... Diabla: 5/5. if you like shrimp and you aren't afraid of spice give this plate a shot wooooo ???????????? Only downside was thebeans as they may be from a can but a lil salt fixed that. Love the mason jars they use to serve the tea and las aguas frescas.Everyone was very nice and attentive. Check it out! Read more

A 2.5... the tacos ???? where not that great, the tortillas not the best for tacos. They do use 2 tortillas but if you eat it... that way you will taste more tortilla then the meat. The asada was good but the al Pastor was not that great. The birria wasmuch better. A very good plus was the lemonade it was fresh and homemade. The people are friendly. Will give it another try whenwe go again. Read more

Have to say was skeptical. But will give this place hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. Can tell... everything is homemade from the hot sauce to the tortillas chips to the tortillas. My new hole in the wall place. The menu willdefinitely make you want to coke back will highly recommend the birria tacos. Read more

La Parrilla is my new favorite place for amazing Mexican food in Lubbock! There used to be another Mexican restaurant in this... same location called El Paisano that ate at many times and loved their food. I was very sad when they closed down due to Covid. I just happened to be driving by this location a couple of weeks ago and saw this new restaurant, La Parrilla, that had openedup in the same location. So, I slammed the brakes on and whipped into the parking lot to try it out. Well, I was rewarded witha real treat! As much as I loved the food at El Paisano, I have to say that I like the cuisine at La Parrilla even better. Ihave been here a couple of times since the day I found it and every time I have left with my taste buds dancing for joy. Thecook La Parrilla really knows how to make that food pop with flavor. I had the Carne Asada plate on my last visit and, Oh My!,it was the best I have eaten anywhere! And the Charro Beans, are you kidding me! I seriously could hurt myself eating those. I mean, I could just order a bowl of them by themselves for a meal. If you are a follower of my reviews here on Yelp andyoutube channel (jungle explorer), you know that one of my pet peeves is the difference between Texmex and authentic Mexicancuisine. I like Texmex, but I basically consider it junk food like burgers and pizza. It is delicious, but it is not reallythat hard to make. But true Mexican cuisine takes real talent to get right. Mexican cuisine is all about flavors and spices, and La Parrilla knows how to get it right. La Parrilla has the standard Texmex options you are used to, but also has many trueauthentic Mexican cuisine options as well. It is a one-stop-shop for both. Another of my pet peeves is Caldo de Res. If aMexican restaurant does not serve it, I don't consider them a true Mexican restaurant. La Parrilla does serve it but only atcertain times. This tells me something very important about them. It tells me that they know what Ca Read more
