I ordered the 5 piece catfish basket but the fillet was so small I had to order another 5 pieces to make 3 whole fillets. The... fish was fried so hard that I was basically eating more batter than fish and speaking of batter the fish batter is covered withblack pepper. The seasoning is not all that great either. If you want some excellent fried fish this is the place to eat. Hush puppies, sugar rolls ( not sure name correct) chicken... strips (good size) fish nuggets ( good size) are all mouth watering delicious. Went on a Friday night with family of 4 got the22-24 piece family meal deal paid around $40-44 dollars WORTH IT plenty for everyone and left overs. They also had live musicthat night. I order to go when craving catfish and chicken bits! Love the gravey! My meal was packaged neatly with condiments. Food tasted... great even though not freshly eaten from restaurant. Awesome service from ordering my takeout over the phone, to the younggentleman at window during pick up. dark dry chicken. Fake mashed potatoes. They told me this was their only complaint on fake mashed potatoes. Didn't know... pickles come with fried chicken with pickle juice on top of the boxes. Quality control none. Better chicken at Walmart andthey have bad fried chicken. Manager said first complaint on mashed potatoes. Potatoes are 2 bucks a bag and can't have realwhen paying family price. Read more
I remember coming here 25 years ago and it was a wonderful experience with a great atmosphere. Needless to say, I called my... father and told him how disappointed I was with this establishment. Upon arrival, we were greeted nicely by a lady who statedsomeone would be with us shortly. The cashier/lady taking our order at register however, RUDE! My wife asked if they had catfishnuggets to where she replied, it is up there. After reading the entire menu, we asked again to where she rolled her eyes andsaid well it is there, the blah blah blah and the blah blah blah are the nuggets so my wife mentioned, well, it doesn't saythat, it just literally says catfish, how am I to know it is nuggets. Well anyways, we placed our order, catfish nuggets,mozzarella sticks and their famous chicken friend steak. I, was happy to try the steak out only to realize, it was disgusting. Ionly ate the mash but forcefully because it was literally clumps of what seemed like boxed mashed potatoes, fries were cold andthe CFS.... heavy on the grease, I literally mean heavy that I threw it up. The catfish nuggets were ok I guess but my CFS wasliterally an appalling dish. I am not a picky person but we ordered some catfish and they were less than room temperature. The other chicken had one in so we... had to wait a little longer and was warm it?s suppose to be freshly cooked. Sticky salt shakers and to honey container was sosticky.
