Had dinner here tonight for my husbands birthday. Sat on the patio, which was quiet, comfortable and well spaced for privacy. I... see a review referring to the 'tiny' portions. If you're looking for huge Texas-sized plates, there are plenty of other placesfor you to go in town. The Nicolett's dishes are of the highest quality, and each dish is comprised of thoughtful flavorcombinations, meant to be savored and enjoyed slowly. If you do so, I promise you will be satiated at the end of the nightwithout having to spend a fortune. On top of the menu being creative, the food was just down right fantastic. We found theprices in line with the quality of the food and care taken to prepare it. The wait staff is young but attentive and consummateprofessionals. Very good setting, excellent service. Good cocktails. Buckwheat rolls were a good start, but the rest of the menu, was pretty... disappointing. Desert salad from kale was way too salty (good quality produce but completely ruined). Lamb was again too saltyand boring. We are international travelers and were passing through and excited to find this place. I?m someone who appreciates reasonable... portions. But the portions were a rip off for the price. I don?t leave a restaurant hungry, I leave with leftovers. I lefthungry. The wine prices for the options was also undesirable. The flavors were good. The service was inexperienced. Read more
My son, daughter-in-law and I came here because I had received a gift certificate at Christmas last year. It was a great... atmosphere and overall experience. There was quite a wait between courses, but it Hanne plenty of time to visit & for our foodto settle. Be prepared to experience fine dining, friendly service and a bit of a pricey tab. Service was great, and the locale is beautiful. But the food wasn't phenomenal compared to the price we paid for it. The wait... times between courses were far too long, about 20min between plates.
