Service was great, and the locale is beautiful. But the food wasn't phenomenal compared to the price we paid for it. The wait... times between courses were far too long, about 20min between plates. The food itself was okay, but both of our mains were coldby the time they reached us, and my partner's roasted potatoes were visibly soggy. Good cocktails, good bread, unfortunatelywouldn't return. Had dinner here tonight for my husbands birthday. Sat on the patio, which was quiet, comfortable and well spaced for privacy. I... see a review referring to the 'tiny' portions. If you're looking for huge Texas-sized plates, there are plenty of other placesfor you to go in town. The Nicolett's dishes are of the highest quality, and each dish is comprised of thoughtful flavorcombinations, meant to be savored and enjoyed slowly. If you do so, I promise you will be satiated at the end of the nightwithout having to spend a fortune. On top of the menu being creative, the food was just down right fantastic. We found theprices in line with the quality of the food and care taken to prepare it. The wait staff is young but attentive and consummateprofessionals. Kid was our server and made the whole experience enjoyable. We will be back! Thank you! Read more

Very good setting, excellent service. Good cocktails. Buckwheat rolls were a good start, but the rest of the menu, was pretty... disappointing. Desert salad from kale was way too salty (good quality produce but completely ruined). Lamb was again too saltyand boring. Curd desert could be interesting ( olive oil and matcha were delicious twist), if it was less sweet. I doubt wewill be back. Sorry Read more

We are international travelers and were passing through and excited to find this place. I?m someone who appreciates reasonable... portions. But the portions were a rip off for the price. I don?t leave a restaurant hungry, I leave with leftovers. I lefthungry. The wine prices for the options was also undesirable. The flavors were good. The service was inexperienced. Read more

My son, daughter-in-law and I came here because I had received a gift certificate at Christmas last year. It was a great... atmosphere and overall experience. There was quite a wait between courses, but it Hanne plenty of time to visit & for our foodto settle. Be prepared to experience fine dining, friendly service and a bit of a pricey tab. This is a place I would go backfor special occasions. Although I've heard the Sunday brunch is really good, too! Read more

Top notch. Exquisite. The decor, staff, menu, execution, service, everything is best in class in Lubbock. Not only does it have... a unique menu of offerings locally sourced, they are all executed to the highest standards. Nowhere else in town elevates theirwork to such a level. I'd call it art. Take two hours of your life and have an experience there. It is worth every minute andevery dollar. Read more

We made reservations here for a graduation celebration. A professor of my graduate had recommended it as a nice place in Lubbock... (since we are from Dallas and wanted some place nice to celebrate). The location was lovely, and our server Colt was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The issue we had was that we had to put a $100 deposit down to reserve our table on the patio. Wealso had to preorder our food, both of which seemed inconvenient and unnecessary, even for a nice restaurant. The prices wereway out of line for the portion sizes. We ate on the patio, and I would have expected at least a table cloth at such a "nicerestaurant." The patio was lovely, but plastic chairs and tables need upgrading for the price of the meal. The food was tasty, but again, the portions were TINY. We left hungry after spending almost $1000. Read more

Outstanding meal! Very high quality ingredients and wonderful service. Much higher standard than anywhere else we've tried in... Lubbock. In fact, it reminded us of some of our favorites from places like London, Prague, and Strasbourg. Super high qualityfood with lots of local ingredients, extreme attention to detail, thoughtful and developed flavors, and fantastic staff. We werevery impressed and can't wait to go back. Read more
