whataburger is pretty good. came here at ~1800 and got a burger. nobody was really there. i saw them prepare my food and keep it... on the counter in the kitchen for like 10 minutes. during the 10 minutes they were chatting with other employees (which i dontmind,) but it seems like they were too distracted to notice that they had food for a customer. i like whataburger but it wouldbe nice if they paid attention. I'd give it 5 stars because the food quality was really up there, but this college-poised location has no drive thru. I had to... get down looking all disheveled after sleeping in my truck overnight for this road trip. Friendly staff. Read more
We stop in Lubbock overnight 4 or 5 times a year going back and forth between Austin and Colorado. We always get dinner at this... Whataburger. After never getting our order right EVER we have decided never again. The fact that there are no customers at 6 atnight should tell you something. We always ask for a plain grilled chicken sandwich for our dog?we even say no sauce, nolettuce, no tomatoes?just a piece of chicken and the bun. Every time it has everything on it!!!! You order a junior cheeseburger with jalapeños?am told they can?t do that although it can be done on the app. I don?t know if these workers are collegestudents or not but I hope not because that would be a sad commentary on our education system because it is clear that thesekids don?t have the brains to even be out of first grade. Came here a couple months ago and food was borderline awful. The chicken strips were dry, the fries were soggy, and the gravy... was like water. I also ordered onion rings and got a side of someone?s half-eaten sandwich in the bag as well (I wish I waskidding, I thought the wrapped sandwich in the picture was an accidental extra, but it had some very obvious bites taken out ofit).
