Phenomenal!! Absolutely Phenomenal. We had looked all over the Rockford area for a place to host a surprise birthday party and... Sam's On Harlem turned out to be the perfect place. Extremely friendly staff, the food was incredible, and the space was veryclassy. All for a price that was very reasonable compared to everywhere else we looked. I heard about Sam?s through a friend of mine and decided to give it a try on a Saturday afternoon. I came in and sat at the bar... and noticed the restaurant was clean and the staff was attentive!!! I ordered a small pizza (well done) and a soft drink. Whenmy food arrived, it was just how I had hoped it would be seeing as though I wanted it well done. The pizza was more than Iexpected as I consider myself a foodie (lol). I would definitely recommend this establishment to others and to first timevisitors. Keep up the GREAT SERVICE & FOOD!!! My husband recently did a catering order for his employer and it was incredible. Not a single complaint and everyone really... enjoyed their food. He was especially impressed because it was individual items vs trays of the same food. The owner even metwith him during the closed hours to accommodate him. He is very happy with his experience. We definitely recommend and lookforward to using them again. Read more

This review is overdue and very well deserved. We had a celebration of life for my father. I don?t live in town, but wanted a... family run Italian restaurant that my father would have appreciated - Sal?s on Harlem fit the bill. Sal and Brigit arepassionate owners and are conscientious about the experience you have. The food was divine, each dish carefully prepared by Sal.Every new course that was served was enjoyed by all of our guests - everyone expressed their delight. And, on top of that,Brigit and the entire staff attentively ensured that the day went off as success, and that we had amazing service. They wentabove and beyond - specially setting up the room and staff working overtime to tailor to our unique banquet needs. When youhave any occasion, certainly as important as someone?s memorial, you can put your trust in Sam?s on Harlem to host your event. Iam forever grateful for the first class celebration for my father that he deserved, and on one of the hardest days for me. We stopped in on a recommendation (We are from Texas), and everything we had was Top Shelf! The Pizza and Pasta were the best... I've ever had. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sam's on Harlem.
