The Desmond was absolutely wonderful! The staff are all supremely, helpful, and friendly! We upgraded to a suite and I am SO... happy that we did. The suite was huge! Giant separate, living room area with fireplace and dining room table the adjacent kingbedroom was spacious also. The beds are extremely comfortable and the pillows, fluffy and soft. The bartenders and the managerof the kitchen were so very friendly and attentive. I had their crab chowder and it was fresh, flavorful and a welcomed hot dishon chilly day. I truly enjoyed my stay there and will 100% be back when I’m in the area. Read more

Almost every year, my family and I have been coming up here for a Thanksgiving day buffet. Very delicious food, friendly staff,... good service, etc. If you've never been to a buffet with all your traditional Thanksgiving day fixings, please check this out.But be advised: this buffet *might* sell out quickly and be prepared for lots of company at the buffet Read more

Had room blocks at The Desmond for our wedding. We were so pleased with the accommodations and service! Steven was so helpful in... planning our experience for our guests - he was detailed and great at communicating! The Desmond provided a shuttle for ouroffsite wedding and a beautiful suite for the groomsmen to get ready in. We were so happy they could be apart of our specialday. We had our wedding room block, rehearsal dinner, bridal ready room and after party at the Desmond and it was a beyond wonderful... experience!! Our guests were so happy with the facilities, staff, and their stays - we got so many compliments! It truly is a1-stop shop for weddings - everything was executed wonderfully and the staff was incredible!! We had an issue with the AC in ourbridal ready room and it was corrected within less than 30 minutes and the staff made us feel so well cared for! Our room suitewas large and lovely, all of the food was delicious and serving staff so kind to us and our guests. Cynthia was an absolutesweetheart to work with and made us feel taken care of throughout the whole process. She even stopped by our wedding after partyto say hello! I was there for a women's retreat I live in the state of Delaware it was about a 30 minute drive. The hotel is beautiful the... staff and the services that was provided was Top Notch. Situated in a business park, this hotel is a little isolated but is set in beautiful grounds. Looks pretty new and well... maintained. The room was a good size, clean with a comfortable bed. The hotel is quite large with a bar, dining area andfunction rooms for events. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed a walk outside in the gardens. There are aselection of cafes, restaurants and bars across the road which offers a bit of variety. Read more
