i ordered the spicy shrimp roll and there was a hard shrimp tail IN the roll. i usually love this place. how disappointing. for... the owners response: i said this is a spicy shrimp roll NOT shrimp tempura. those, i know, have tail. however, i’ve orderedthis spicy shrimp roll countless times and never had there been a tail inside this roll. I’ve heard so many amazing things about this place and was disappointed. I’ve had better sushi at Aikou in Warren. Since... I’m pregnant I can only eat cooked or vegetable sushi so I ordered the California roll and shrimp tempura roll (which isexactly what I’ve ordered from Aikou) as a pick up order. Maybe it’s made better when you dine in but presentation wise andflavor were just ok and roll size was smaller. It reminded me a bit like supermarket sushi. I found Aikou to be much fresher andI got more for my money. My husband ordered the chicken yakimeshi. It had no flavor and the chicken seemed boiled. First time at this sushi place … located in the center of Martinsville in a little shopping plaza in the corner Staff was... polite … the sushi chefs ( I noticed 2 ) immediately greeted us. We decided to eat in. The good sign was a constant streamof clients for take out Our food came … we ordered a variety of rolls , tuna tartare and edamame. Great service, they were super nice and our food was prepared pretty quickly. Love the curbside pick up. They ask for your car... detail and bring it right out to you. Perfect for social distancing!
