I am so glad that I took the advice of another reviewer and got the ice cream flight! At $6 for 4 flavors, you truly get your... money's worth (and then some). If you like homemade hard packed ice cream and treats, you need to eat here. The servings are MASSIVE and the flavor variety is... very good too. I ordered a 3 scoop cone and each scoop is likely half a pint!???? Worth every penny. Read more

Missing a star for no cherries. No cherries!? What's up with that? As far as everything else, the staff was super friendly and... fast. The line was to the road and the wait was less then 20 minutes. It was very reasonable. The lady at the register wassuper nice. Banana split was amazing. Try a banana split with brownie ice cream and carmel. Read more

Went here while on vacation in the area and I was not disappointed. Friendly staff and quick service. Lots of delicious flavors... to choose and including some fun ones. I had the 'baby' cone ($3.78) and that thing was massive so I can only imagine whatlarger sizes looked like, but this was perfect for me. I had the Moose Tracks and Brownie Batter and they were both amazing! Ifyou're near chautauqua lake, I definitely recommend checking this place out. Read more
We LOVE Boxcar Barney?s and go multiple times a week while we are at Chautauqua. They have delicious ice cream (Hershey?s, I... believe), tons of great flavors, and huge servings for very reasonable prices. Their service can be a bit slow, especially soonafter dinner. Still, we are happy to wait the 20 minutes to get this excellent ice cream! Read more
