METRO DINER, at 5600 CARLISLE PIKE, MECHANICSBURG, PA 17050, was something to talk about after I left! I ordered FRIED CHICKEN... & WAFFLES, 2 SCRAMBLED EGGS with CHUNKS of STEAK, a WAFFLE SUNDAE (strawberries/chocolate chips/cream/chocolate syrup andbananas on top of waffles...simply delicious)! To add to my sweet tooth, I also ordered 1 'BIG' slice of CHOCOLATE CAKE ????.The food was 'over-the-top' delicious! The DINER was clean. The restroom was clean, and the waitresses were very KIND andPROFESSIONAL...what more could I ask for...a magic pair of shoes, that will take me back to enjoy delicious food all overagain! Food was fresh and good. We were on vacation and did not know what was around. My wife googled places to eat near us and she saw... Metro and what kind of food they had so we rolled the dice and came up a Winner. I will order from Metro Diner again. Read more

I got the special - red velvet pancakes with cream cheese icing and cobbler topping. Was it every bit amazing as it sounds?... Absolutely. Per-fection. And my waiter was Ashlyn, she was very attentive and friendly. I'm definitely heading back to try thosecinnamon bun pancakes. Read more

Pleasing to the palate in every way! ????We had the "Steak & Scramble Bowl" (A bed of Hashbrowns, topped with Seasoned SirloinSteak, Scrambled Eggs, Roasted Grape Tomatoes, drizzled with Hollandaise Sauce. This is... at the moment.. my fayvrit Diner in the Harrisburg-Mechanicsburg area! When we 1st stumbled upon this hidden gem.. we... Dined-in and had a wonderful, very attentive and lovely waitress. It was very busy, but she tended to us..like we were the onlyones there. I loved every iota of my delicious meal. We ordered the infamous Chicken and Waffles and was taken aback how moistand tender the fried ???? was. Waffles were so fluufy, ya could have used them as pillows ????. Metro Diner is AMAZING! Best Fried Chicken and Waffles EVER! We eat here often and I always get the Fried Chicken...my wife... loves the Turkey Dinner Platter. The desserts are delicious...one of the best Cobblers we've ever had, tonight was PeachCobbler. I had the Blueberry Lemon Bread Pudding and it was great. Anything you order here you will not be disappointed, in factyou will be thrilled and you'll keep coming back.
