I have eaten here twice recently and both experiences were very good. I love BBQ and this place is a bright star among a lot of... average options for BBQ. The French fries were excellent as well. The portion sizes are great. The smoked pork was excellent. The prices are particularly high, and I would prefer if they didn't... have a wait staff that adds an additional tip charge to the already steep bill. Also, the sauces just aren't good. Read more
We're in PA visiting from MI, thought we'd give this place a try from the great reviews we saw. I wish we never did though.... First red flag was the parking lot was basically empty @ 645 on a Saturday. We walk in and it's FREEZING! Not cool or cold,freezing. My fiance ordered the 3 meat sampler, 2 chicken 1 pulled pork with an extra side of beans. He never received the beansand he got 2 pork 1 chicken. I ordered the 2 meat sampler, 4 wings and meatloaf. Meatloaf was dryer than the Sahara desert andwings were chared almost beyond on the point of consumption. The cornbread tasted like soap and the waitress, she was nice butnot very good. She never checked on us and it took way to long to get the bill. The ONLY okay thing was my salad which was odd,came with a corn relish and cornbread crutons. My fiance and I agree, we won't be back. Father's day dinner decision & it's personally one of my favorite local places. Redd's was having staffing issues so things were... not the most efficient nor was everything in stocks. Jennifer, our waitress, did well all things considered. We were enjoyingourselves and it was an experience in which a father's display of patience and gratitude kept everyone grateful for our timetogether. Plenty of leftovers made for good lunches over the next couple of days. As always, we will be back ... keep the baconymeatloaf ready! Read more
