We're in PA visiting from MI, thought we'd give this place a try from the great reviews we saw. I wish we never did though.... First red flag was the parking lot was basically empty @ 645 on a Saturday. We walk in and it's FREEZING! Not cool or cold,freezing. My fiance ordered the 3 meat sampler, 2 chicken 1 pulled pork with an extra side of beans. He never received the beansand he got 2 pork 1 chicken. I ordered the 2 meat sampler, 4 wings and meatloaf. Meatloaf was dryer than the Sahara desert andwings were chared almost beyond on the point of consumption. The cornbread tasted like soap and the waitress, she was nice butnot very good. She never checked on us and it took way to long to get the bill. The ONLY okay thing was my salad which was odd,came with a corn relish and cornbread crutons. My fiance and I agree, we won't be back. Father's day dinner decision & it's personally one of my favorite local places. Redd's was having staffing issues so things were... not the most efficient nor was everything in stocks. Jennifer, our waitress, did well all things considered. We were enjoyingourselves and it was an experience in which a father's display of patience and gratitude kept everyone grateful for our timetogether. Plenty of leftovers made for good lunches over the next couple of days. As always, we will be back ... keep the baconymeatloaf ready! Read more
Being a huge Mission BBQ fan, I was already hesitant to try this place. The only reason I finally did is because I saw they had... smoked chicken salad. Ordered online for 5:30 pickup and had to wait. That?s not the issue, especially considering it?s Saturdayand a holiday weekend. I checked my bag before leaving the parking lot and had to go back in because we were missing our fries.Presentation is poor and the food looks like it came from a cafeteria. Slider rolls could have been softer, and baked beans areway too sweet. I had to pour some of the KC sauce, which was the best part of the meal into the beans in order for them to betolerable. I could have gotten better tasting beans from a can at Karns in the same parking lot. I more than likely won?t beback. If you already have a BBQ spot you love, don?t waste your hard earned money here. You will regret it. Read more
Stopped by to try this place out yesterday for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised. Coming from Texas, aka brisket country,... there have been one too many disappointments from bbq places I've tried here in PA, but this place did not disappoint. Brisketwas tender and juicy, coleslaw and baked beans were excellent, and the cornbread was the perfect accompaniment. Service was alsoexcellent as well. Only small note I had was the sausage, which had great flavor but texture was a bit mealy. Inquired about itand the server indicated it was made fresh in house, which is also a rare find, hoping they find the right balance for it soon.Prices were a bit high but understandable for the current times. I got the 2 meat sampler. Comes with 2 sides and cornbread. Both the brisket and ribs were delicious. The ribs were a little... charred on the outside but the meat was still good. Almost forgot to mention that they have a variety of BBQ sauces for you touse that they bring out prior to your food coming out. They were all delicious. Read more
We hired Redd's to cater our wedding in October. Brent was responsive and easy to work with during the planning stages. The... BBQ buffet and charcuterie spread they provided for the reception and cocktail hour were very high quality. The service staffwere friendly and helpful. Delivery was timely. We heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests. I would highly recommendRedd's for any catering needs. Read more
