This is a long standing institution in Memphis and beloved by many. But I tried it again after many years, didn't enjoy my... experience and likely won't return. Most of our food was good. There is no beer on tap. And it is way overpriced. A sandwichwith no sides is 11.75. While our server was super friendly and great, I found the overall vibe to be unwelcoming especiallyfrom the bartender or owner or whoever she was. I know regulars have a lot to love about it. Yumm! Bacon wrapped chicken livers, French dip, onion rings, everything was delicious. Neighborhood bar vibe. 70's rock playing... and our server was super sweet. Can't wait to go back. We loooooove this place. It is an institution in Memphis and has some of the best food. We started with onion rings and fried... mushrooms with horseradish sauce that was killer good. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with potato skins for a side. Friendsgot the hamburger and roast beef au juice. The atmosphere is cool with the lights down low. The bar is a classic neighborhoodfixture. Rachel did a great job serving us as well. We can?t wait to go back. Read more

Great food and service. The atmosphere is kinda retro and homey. The fried cheese sticks were fantastic. I got the shrimp po'... boy with onion rings and they were cooked to perfection. The portions are large so get ready to take home some leftovers. Thefries are steak cut and delicious. Not the cheapest restaurant, but not terribly expensive. Definitely worth it.
