I'm finding that the quality of Pollo Tropical is not what it used to be. I ordered 1/4 chicken with two sides. They gave me a... leg and thigh part of the chicken, and it was so small it looked like it came from a cornish hen. No kidding. The staff werekind of oblivious to the customers. I asked for guava BBQ sauce and they gave me the onion, tomato, cilantro sauce. I had asimilar issue at the Bird Road restaurant as well a few months ago. I dont know what happened to pollo tropical! Customer service is a joke and the food is just nasty. I asked for a well done... chicken because i don't like raw white chicken. What I get raw chicken. I don?t understand y they don't understand well done.The beans am better of buying canned Goya than what they make. And let me address the type of employees. Its literally cuba andam cuban but these employees are another level. Please if you dont like to work go back. Why should an employee tell a customer?Tu Maletin? when they were asked for some napkins. Its pathetic. Haven't had Pollo Tropical in a while.. To my surprise, the food was pretty good. Had the Meat trio. Comes with an Argentine... Sausage, Churrasco and Chicken. Everything was delicious. The Churrasco was very good and really tender.. Definitely will goback for lunch. It wasn't full like usually Pollo Tropicals are. We went around 12pm for lunch. Read more
Would give 0 stars if possible but I cannot post without it. Every time we go it is always a mission to make sure our chicken is... COOKED! Literally have to finish cooking it as I make this post. This is the oldest and therefore first Pollo Tropical restaurant hence it doesn't have a drive thru. Also the founders of the... company were two Jewish American brothers. Little known fact. They sold it to a New York company and now owned by FiestaGroup headquartered in Dallas. The food is prepared fresh. Ordered their new Cuban sandwich and we give it 4.5 stars. Hassome mayonnaise when it should be mustard. But still good. Quite filling. Also ordered quarter chicken, black beans and whiterice. Same delicious recipe. And the Caribbean chicken soup. Authentic recipe. Very healthy. It takes a while to wait forfood. Remember this is more fast casual than pre packaged fast food. Parking can be tricky at peak lunch time. Best to parkfurther away in the shopping center and walk to entrance. We were so hungry we forgot to take photo of actual food. It's Miamicomfort food. Read more
Horrible! They had no service, Waited 10 munites for them to tell me that the chicken was not ready. I would have to wait 40... minutes. I saw one of the Server grab some food and put it in her mouth...I left! Who ever owns it is not running it correctly. Read more
