The vibe was cool, but the staff seemed miserable to be there, they took ten minutes per order and they were hardly busy. I feel... like they didn't even put caffeine in the coffee to be vindictive because I didn't come in there looking all ritzy on a Sundaymorning. and they charge $9 for a half a$$ed bagel with cream cheese. The salmon actually looked turnt and brown on theedges,and looked raw. It definitely didn't look "smoked". There is hardly any salmon to justify that price. Lovely café! I've been to both of the valpo locations of Fluid and loved them, and the Michigan City location is just as nice.... I especially like the hallway hangout in this location, and the decorations. It's almost like a hip office space that showcasesthe personality of the owner. As for the coffee, it's arguably the best specialty coffee in the midwest. If you're in the moodfor hot coffee I'd reccomend the Norvus Ordo, it tastes like those chocolate oranges you get at Christmas. If you're in the moodfor iced, I'd reccomend the Cosmic Coconut. Picked up the Pride blend on my way out as well, I trust that it will be wonderful! Read more
Fantastic shop! The best matcha latte I've ever had. My husband loved his coffee latte too. We buy local small roaster coffee as... we travel the country and this was the spot. We hadn't been able to find good beans across 3 states. We're stocked up now! Read more

This place is special. Walking in I was expecting a pretty standard local roaster / coffee shop. It is much more than that. The... vibe here is awesome, love the neon lights and eclectic vaguely punk artwork. The second thing that stood out was how creativethe menu is. The drink I got was a mixture of smoked orange, chocolate and sea salt. It?s one of the more unique lattes I?ve hadin years. Love this place and look forward to coming back when in town. Read more
