I looked at a trusted food site for brunch recommendations in the Cities and this was on their list. We have a local Mexican... buffet that we really enjoy so we decided to give this a try. I was pretty happy we did. The staff is super friendly andattentive. The mexican food is awesome and leans closer to authentic than our local buffet. I wish they had horchata on thebuffet, but they do not. They do offer orange drink, water, coffe decaf/regular, and a bin of soda cans. The breakfast optionsweren't our favorite, but is that really why someone would go to this brunch? The soup, taco/nacho bar is amazing. Do not missout on the churros. They were a delicious end to the meal and experience. Highly recommend for great mexican food! Read more

Call it 4.6 overall, based on one visit. Maya has two areas, the front along Central is the street-food area, and the back area... is for sit-down dining and the bar (photos), all the same kitchen - and patio is in the far back. The bar would be a good placeto watch The World Cup, I imagine; if one were to watch The World Cup. The tomales were among the best I have had in Minnesota. Patio dining looks nice but it was in the 40's when we visited. All food items were good, definitely not spicy or over-spiced(if anything more the opposite) as this feels classic traditional Mexican. They do a nice job with service and creating as goodan atmosphere too. No worries about being too hot/spicy. Definitely recommend. Read more

Based on the reviews we had high expectations. Well, this place was a total disappointment. The food tasted below average, the... price is higher compared to the standard. The staffs are friendly, no doubt in that. But definitely one of the worst tacos I hadin my life. Everything was cold, including the tortilla. The tamales compared to the tacos were a little better. Nonetheless, none of the dishes wasn’t worth the money. Read more

Great food! I had the Cochinita Pibil and I was also able to share the shrimp tacos, our waiter recommended both and we were... very happy! On the Cochinita Pibil, the onion and pepper dish was spicier than I was expecting but really good! The plantainswere fantastic! This place was really big and had a patio! This was a great spot, I would love to come back! Read more

My friend took me here and it was amazing. We went for the Sunday buffet (10:00-2:00). Everything was really good and they have... a nice selection of food. I couldn't stop eating the tamales and the flan! Staff was friendly and were very good about keepingup with refilling the buffet. Definitely recommend going!! Read more

We have been here quite a few times. Our go to place for Mexican Food. More like a comfort food for us. Their Maya Plates is a... value option. Great place if you are a vegetarian. Their Salsa Bar is awesome. They ran out of Elote and few varieties of theTamales on few occasions we went. But we were fine with it as there were other options. Ending the meal with Jarritos is anabsolute must. Read more

Spacious atmosphere with fast counter service and the best salsa bar. The Maya plate and Pozolé were delicious, they have lots... of vegetarian tamales and a vegetarian taco. The Pozolé was not very warm, but that was the only downside of our meal. Thechips and salsa bar were outstanding, lots of delicious salsa, pickles, Pozolé oil, etc. The salsa bar is what put thisexperience over the top. We were able to sit in the sit down restaurant area (it wasn't open at lunch), which gave us a lot ofspace to feel comfortable while eating indoors. There was nobody nearby. Read more
