One of the best breakfasts we had during our time in california. The place was packed for good reasons and we had to wait a... couple of minutes. What a great local spot. I was seated very quickly. Staff was incredible and frit. The food was in extremely large quantities... and so delicious. The pancakes are literally the size of the plate. Probably the best coffee around! The atmosphere is supercute with very eclectic decor. Definitely a must try if you're in the area. Read more
Small, unassuming spot. The restaurant has some interesting decor, but is a bit cramped for seating. There's a line out the door... constantly, which speaks to the quality of the food. I had the scramble with smoked salmon, which was really good. The hashbrowns were okay. A bit soggy in the middle, but otherwise fine. Coffee is good. My wife enjoyed her French toast. Everyone wasnice and we were seated quickly despite the long line. Good place to try if you're in the area. Read more
I would highly recommend this breakfast restaurant to anybody! It is very packed and busy but the quality of food is completely... worth it. I ate a French toast combo and my wife had a waffle combo. Very delicious we were overall satisfied with the wholemeal. The hot chocolate was amazing as well as the moccachino. Thank you Monterey Cafe for the excellent and fast service!???????? Read more
Great breakfast, great service. My son and I visited on a Friday morning. The place was packed, but we were seated... immediately. I had eggs and fruit and my son had the waffle breakfast. The food came fast and my coffee cup was never empty. Very yummy, clean plate club !! Best breakfast in Monterey !! Read more
My family and I are visiting from Miami Florida. Our son is stationed here in Monterey for tech school. We absolutely ENJOYED... this restaurant! We payed attention to the host and his work ethic, he is very organized n swift. Tables are cleaned andcustomer?s are seated in a timely manner. amazing place to go! highly recommend going there for breakfast! morning rush not nearly as bad as other places we went there... around 11 am on a Sunday and got a seat, the plates were big and delicious. the service was amazing our drinks got refilledimmediately and the food got ready so fast, we were very happy with that!! will come back for sure Read more
This is little breakfast and lunch spot in Alvarado street. The place is really cute and has very cute vintage decor. My husband... and I went for breakfast. I had the Crispy Belgian Combo with fresh strawberries. It was very good. My husband had the Valesbreakfast burrito, he also loved his food. The staff was friendly and the food came out fast.
