Have had Sunday lunch several times and the food is great with good portion of food. The waitress we have had is excellent,,... getting our order, drinks, and bringing our food. She checks back a couple times to make sure everything is OK. The price isbetter than most in the area. Read more

Comfy, relaxing & affordable, Captain's Galley is a clean, cheerful & very affordable spot for some homestyle seafood, chicken... or burgers. There used to be so many more of these family-style restaurants that offered simple, wholesome meals at prices thatmade taking the whole family out a welcome possibility. Think HoJo's, Perkins, The Salt Shaker with a slight predominance offish & seafood dishes. The wait staff were friendly and watchful, leaving an entire pitcher of iced water for us to refill atour leisure. We were presented a plentiful bowl of hush puppies as we were seated, and they were delicious. Special pricing forthe lunch menu makes a visit even more appealing. Take your mom & dad & your kids, too. You'll be glad you did! Read more

Nothing special just your typical fried seafood joint. Services good and prompt so if you're into that kind of thing would... definitely recommend. Great weeknight specials and very reasonably priced. I give it far better Stars if they made their ownhush puppies Read more

Food was ok, staff was nothing special. Was not made to feel welcome and had to listen to another patron's phone calls the... entire time we were there, while we were told to turn our child's tablet down, it was bothering the other customers (it was NOTthat loud!) We were there at 230-3pm. Not too many other customers but we had to sit next to the lady on the phone, I guess, because we were considered to be probably loud because of the 3 year old child. Decent food. Not haute cuisine or even particularly high brow... lots of fried stuff on the menu but they also do broiled and... steamed. Their chicken tenders are actually quite good. Hushpuppies are free and bottomless. The green beans are tasty, stewedwith tomatoes and celery. The interior is straight late 80's and the crowd is families, with a large selection of older folks, attracted to the moderate prices and huge portion sizes... you can easily feed your kids off your plate. You can easily giveyou toddler some of your entree and just order them a side and there will still be plenty of food for the big person after thetiny whiny human has had their fill. Wait staff is friendly and attentive (without the fake concern of a chain restaurant'sassistant under-manager and every one else in the place asking if everything is OK...). Read more

I've had better... I've had worse for sure, but I've had better. The staff were polite, but the food quality was pretty low.... This place is basically a "greasy spoon" kind of sea themed diner. Easy for a lunch, but not the greatest. Read more
