This used to be one of my favorite places to go, but there is a reason why there is no longer a wait to get in. The steaks were... tough, and over cooked. The waitress said she could give me more vegetables since I didn’t want potatoes which was the exactsame number of asparagus as my wife got with potatoes, then she looked at me like I was stupid when I asked if my plate hadextra vegetables. There are many places in the area I would recommend before this place, which is unfortunate because it used tobe awesome. Read more

Reliable local spot for a hearty steak meal. No thrills, but good food. Service is friendly and usually little to no wait. The... bar is a great spot to grab a drink and chill. Definitely has an old “Black Angus” vibe from all of the wood and tallbooths. This was our first visit, post Covid. The menu seems to have shrunk a little. I recall their menu being more expansiveprior. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was cooked perfect. The summer berry crisp was the perfect finish. Read more

Fabulous steaks and excellent service. An accident caused a power outage just after our food arrived. It was impressive to see... the staff scramble to ensure each table had a candle to see to finish the meals while they were hot. Even with the stress of nopower, the wait staff was friendly and efficient. Great job! Read more

Max Dale's Steak &Chop is a throwback to an earlier time in my life, when I went to a chain of restaurants called Stuart... Anderson's Black Angus. From what I understand the owners of both establishments knew each other and the owner of Max Dale'sused the layout and floor plans of a Black Angus for his restaurant. Even if this story isn't true, the end result is exactlythe same. Going to Max Dale's is EXACTLY the same experience as going to a Black Angus from my childhood. Specifically, highbacked booths that create a sense of isolation while you eat. The large lobby with the Martini bar. The wall to wall carpetand the wood paneling that is everywhere. It is indeed a trip back in time for me. Ok, the service. Wow, we waited a LONNNNNGtime for service. It took twenty minutes to simply get a glass of water. It was about thirty min after being seated that wefinally spoke to our server. There was talk of leaving sure to the wait. However, by this point, I needed to see how long thiswould take. When the server arrived she had a large bandage on her hand and explained that she had been injured on the job. Although we were both concerned for her, it was a large bandage and we both wondered whether or not she should still be at work. Regardless, she was there and ready to serve us. I ordered a moscow mule and my fiancee had a raspberry lemon drop. Both werefine. The server brought us a $4 basket of bread as a way to compensate us for the 40 minute delay in finally getting somethingother than water. The food: I ordered the filet mignon, 8oz with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My fiancee had the 16oz. Primerib. Both were good, not great. The overall experience was average, not exceptional and the bill of $99 was more than I feltcomfortable with given the long wait to even get a glass of water. When you wait as long as we did, I feel there should be moreconsideration given than a $4 bread appetizer. Also, consider moving staff around to compens Read more

Another customer who thinks that this is among the BEST places in town. Kelcie was superb and attentive. Wow. She sets the bar... for helpful and joyous. My weekday prime rib had a wonderful crust, and was perfectly cooked. Couldn't think of anything betteruntil I tasted hubby's rib eye steak with a mushroom demi glas. OMGood. Love the decor and peaceful ambiance. Good for kidswhich were so well behaved across from us. Well managed place. So glad to be able to dine inside. Read more
