I ate here for the 1st time last night and the food was really good. I had the Salmon Relleno that was on a special menu, it was... salmon stuffed with crabmeat. The black beans were really good and seasoned well, which i mixed with my rice. I heard theirswirl margaritas are also good but I had just come from the wine festival, so I was done with those types of libations for theday. My only complaint is I hated those little water glasses, I had like 5 refills and still needed more.???????????Neighborhood is tough to park in but restaurant had $5 parking behind it, which I finally saw after driving around a bit. Foodis decently priced as well, I would not mind going here again. ???? Another plus is their chips for salsa are freshly made, honestly haven't seen that at too many restaurants up here. Good job???????? #lauriolplaza Read more

First time I went here was about 22 years ago. Just went there the other night and it's still great. Wonderful rooftop friendly... staff. If you're looking for a place in DC to kick back and relax and just have a few drinks and good meals, this is it Read more

Stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting DuPont circle and I’m glad I did. I had the brisket tacos and 2 margaritas in... which the brisket tacos were so juicy and full of flavor. The margarita I just wished had a bit more alcoholic but still goodfor what it was. Would definitely return to try other food off their menu. Read more

Actually I’ve been coming to this restaurant consistently over 20 years! Why? Because their food and service is consistently... fabulous. After Covid, we decided to visit again yesterday, and once again the food was fantastic. We had a really good time aswe where accommodated in the main dining area, since I had a foot injury. The bus boy was a very young kid, shy but smiling. Heserved us with the most delish and warm home made tortilla chips (best in town according to me and 20+ years experience cominghere.) Their salsa is now a bit more hot than I recalled but still tasty! The waiter seemed seasoned although a tad delayed inasking if we needed more water. But all in all the food was out quickly, their legendary frozen drinks on a scorching DC Sundaywere amazing as well. We ordered the gambas al ajillo and tostones as an appetizer and to dine we had masitas de puerco and lomosaltado. Their portions are hefty and come with rice, black beans and they add two sweet plantains as well. Everything was onpoint! If you are in the city this restaurant has a variety of foods in their menu to enjoy. You won’t be disappointed. Ialways know they’ll take good care of us! Read more

terrible service, the food runner with a super bitter lemon face, the waiter arrives at the table 20 minutes after we sat down... and does not say hello, it was the worst experience of my life the only kind people were the hostesses in that I give them a 5some nice girls. I ordered some mussels which were bland I think even my grandmother cooked better than the restaurant's chef, the chips full of oil and all broken looked like breadcrumbs Read more

There was no wait on a warm Saturday afternoon. Which should have been the first red flag. We sat down and it took a while for a... waitress or waiter to come and ask if we wanted any additional drinks or appetizers. We had the guacamole & calamari to start. The guacamole had to have salt & pepper added. The calamari was over cooked. It tasted more like plastic than chewy rubber. Itwas not seasoned well either. For my entree I ordered the shrimp quesadilla which I sent back. The shrimp were micro and did notlooked seasoned. They were not even in the quesadilla properly. I also had the short rib tacos. I really liked them. I wasdisappointed that there was very little meat. Lauriol plaza has fallen off tremendously. I will never return. It used to be oneof my favorite restaurants in DC. So sad to see them fall off like this. Read more

The hostesses were great. Server was nice but we had to keep looking for him. Food was decent enough. The lamb is served on a... skillet but my rice and tortillas came out to ne cold. I'd return for the frozen margaritas and chips&salsa though. Read more

If you are planning a large dinner party this is the only place you should go! They were seriously so accommodating and the... service was top notch! We were running late and they were incredibly kind and patient with our party! If you try to plan a largeparty anywhere else they have all these rules and make it complicated and uncertain you will even get a table. Not LauriolPlaza! They took our reservation, nothing complicated and made us feel so welcomed! The service was just so incredible and Ican’t let one more day going by without telling my amazing experience here! Not to mention the food is freaking amazing! Myfavorite was the tacos! Not the biggest fan of the ceviche, but everyone else loved what they ordered. Read more
