I come here 1-2 times a month to attend a meet up and eat BBQ. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. I always get... pork ribs, potato salad, creamed corn, and sometimes the rice krispy treats or cobbler. I enjoy the causal atmosphere. Read more

Update: this location has moved and is under new management!! Major improvements. The food was hot. And the dining room very... clean. I have frequented Rudy's my whole life. I recently moved to Austin and discovered that none of the Austin Area Rudy'sserve their smoked potatoes. I made the hour-long drive to visit the location in New Braunfels for their Smoked potatoes and wasdisappointed. They had an over done, burnt rate to them and the portion (both the size of the potatoes as well as the portion ofmeat it's served with) didn't quite match other Rudy's locations that I have visited in other parts of Texas. Barbecue for the masses, a chain but generally an excellent one. This location is pretty and has a nice atmosphere. Large... barbecue menu, sides, and cold drinks. Always a fan of the moist brisket and ribs. Try out the other stuff if you?d like,probably pass on those little pies tho. Bus your own tables, theres a cold bar with bbq accruements. Its good, service was to be expected. The moist brisket was well smoked, great flavor in the meat the bark seemed to lack... seasoning, was hoping for more there.
