For the most part this is a nice Mcdonald's. It has been in New Smyrna the longest of the 3 owned by the same company. As they... say, one bad apple can spoil the whole barrel. My recent (2X) experience with a shift manager (Laura) proved to be anannoyance. She was very curt and rude communicating over the outside order station. Comments like "what do you want" and "youdone yet" did not measure up to the standards of "Heather" who breathes light in every visit. When I brought this to theowner's office and requested a call back--I never received one. My opinion is if the owner is unresponsive and negligent, howcan one expect the staff to be any different. This unprofessional demeanor was never experienced by me at Chick Filet. Theyare always polite, well dressed, well groomed, and kempt. Shirts tucked in and belted. Read more
Food seemed fine, but after seeing how disgusting the men's bathroom was it really makes me wonder what the kitchen is like. ... Could tell it had not been thoroughly cleaned in weeks/months based on crud and stains and definitely not even lightly cleanedin days. This was first thing in the morning. I did not take pics of the toilet area, which you could imagine for a men'sroom. that should be enough said.... Won't be going back there and I live local. Read more
The staff was really nice. Let me get that out of the way. This is a last-ditch effort for us to get food after being on the... water all day. We had electrical issues on our boat and we were stuck on the water for a long time. McDonald's was the onlything around us that was open, and after swearing not to go back to McDonald's 6 years ago, hunger took over. Let's just getthis straight, whatever it is that McDonald's sells, it is not food. It is just such garbage. The two stars are for theemployees, one for each employee that helped us. It's such a shame that what was such good food 50 years ago is just suchcorporate garbage now. Why would anybody want to eat at McDonald's? I did without McDonald's for 6 years, I'm pretty old now, soI'm saying it. I will never eat at another McDonald's as long as I live. I don't care how hungry I get. Very on satisfying not only was services rude at 7pm but also only car in drive through they parked my order with no one else in... drive through. When they brought my food out the shift leader seemed generally annoyed. Got home my fries were not fresh nastysoggy not even hot bag felt as it had sit on the heat shoot for 6 mins with fries while waiting for burger. But then looking atburger looks like it?s been sitting on shelf its self this is not my first bad experience at this McDonalds it has been aconstant problem. Atrocious, and let me preface this by saying I worked in fast food. Night crew needs to get it together. Lights are on. Drive... through lights are on. Lines for days. We know you're in there. I repeat YES WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE! You're being paid forcustomer service and you just serviced the car ahead of me in the drive thru. I get it...that person is someone you know.COOL! However, I am a delivery driver. I am failing someone else because you all are hiding out versus doing your job. That inturn means I can't do my job and my metrics decrease. Thank you for that. Where are the managers? What are you doing? Why isthis happening? If you don't want to work DON'T but own it. Own that you are there not to serve food or help customers. Own thatyou fully lack an understanding of restaurant work. Own that customer service means zero to your entire team. Own that you lacka sense of work ethic. Own that you aren't a worker, that the workplace isn't for you. In turn rest assured I won't be back.Breathe Phew...one down, the rest of Daytona to go.
