Food was a good quality but sadly there were tons of small and large bits of cardamom. Whilst this flavour is essential,... generally it is using sparingly and placed in a cloth and extracted prior to serving, due to it's extremely bitter, soapyflavour. It was not good. It was also extremely spicy. Was disappointed. Read more

This place was great. It was pretty fancy for an Indian restaurant. The food was eclectic. I loved the atmosphere. I had a... chicken curry Disney. The samosas were tasty. Read more

I can't recommend this place more. Don't listen to any of the criticisms ("they didn't take the menus away." However will we... live on?!). The food is top of the top and the owner and staff are fantastic. I have had the great privilege of fantasticIndian food throughout my life. But this was up there near the top my friends. The lamb chops were so perfectly spiced andtender we thought they were taken off the bone, prepared, and put back on. The lamb biryani: fantastic. The Dahi Puri weresensational balls of semolina and yogurt that blew my mind with their eat-all-in-one-bite goodness. Butter naan, chicken tikkamasala (obvi), mango dessert, street foods I can't even remember - all outrageously awesome. Read more

Some of the best tasting Indian food I have ever tried. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. The menu had a wide variety... of options from street foods to classic plates. I would definitely return. Read more

Avoid Avoid. I was told this is better than Baar Baar and it was absolutely not!! Opt out for something on Curry Hill or Baar... Baar, which is right around the corner which is a lot better for the same price. This place is all HYPE. Better Indian optionsaround the city than MasalaWala. Out of all we had the Dahi Puri was probably the best. The rest was bland curry with noflavour. The chicken in the chicken tikka Masala was cooked well but the gravy was a huge let down - no flavour at all. Samewith the Malai Kofta - super bland. Manchurian was kinda good. Very soggy and didn’t really like as much. Service was 4/5.Probably the only remotely 5 star about this. Portions are good - one curry is for like 1.5 people. Between two of us we wereable to finish both curries and apps and the Naan. Each curry comes with rice as well. They do have some wine specials onweekdays and you can get a cheap bottle. Overall experience was a negative and would be reluctant to return here. Read more

Excellent food here. Service was excellent. Place is extremely small. One tiny bathroom available.
