This place excels in presentation and atmosphere: gorgeous open dining room, casual vibe, and pretty looking food with large... portions. The waitress was awesome too. But the food flavors were bizarre. The pork dish with beans and rice was sour upon sourwith extreme spice - lip puckering. If that flavor was just on the pork but you had a break with plain rice and maybe somecooling avocado it would be ok but it was one note w/ all spice sour. The chickpea burger on naan looked so appetizing but ithad zero flavor or seasoning, only some lip puckering vinegar soaked cucumbers and bland aioli. Salad also tasted mostlyvinegar. The whole fried fish was topped with a slaw of raw julienned strips, again zero flavor. Some amazing balanced sauceswould have brought these dishes to next level but the chef that day had a preference for only sour/tart/overly spicy. Staffother than the chef should be tasting/testing these dishes. Read more
