I've been coming here for over 35 years. It's just that spot you find and keep coming back because the food is spot on every... time. The service is always great and the cooks need a huge round of applause ???? ! They get your food out quick and the it'salways hot. Cappy's was amazing. We had about 13 in our party. Cappy's was very accommodating. We used the online table reservation but... because of the size of our party we could not use the online reservation so we called and explained and they were very helpfulreserving a table for us. The food was great, portions were favorable. Shown is the cinnamon bun french toast combo with eggs,sausage and bacon (thick), chiliquilla and corned beef hash with home fries loaded with onions, green peppers and cheese. TheCBH was home made, not from a can and delicious. It was served over bread. The home fries were excellent. The chiliquilla was alittle soggy from maybe sitting too long before it was delivered, but it was still very good. The menu had a lot of options tochoose from. Everyone was very happy with their orders and had a great time. The service was excellent. Christie was our mainserver and she did an amazing job keeping up with our large group. Read more
Cappy's has been in Newport/ Balboa city for over 40 years. Their menu exceeded my expectations. There is something for... everyone. Food was delicious, I had the cinnamon roll french toast combo. My husband had the corned beef hash with potatoes andgrilled onions. Good size portions. The staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to meet the needs for our party of 13. Read more
Visited Newport briefly and had fish and chips at Cappy's. Was not disappointed! Very tasty fish and chips and while I usually... hate tartar sauce, theirs was actually worth eating! These guys can get very busy but overall good service. Read more
Stopped at this place randomly for a small bite. The place was full very packed there is so many tables inside and they have... outside dining. Despite being super full the food still arrived very quickly. We were seated immediately and the host got usstarted right away. However the only reason they aren’t getting 5 stars is because the food was just alright. The service wasquick we were in and out in 25 minutes but the food was not something to rave about. Read more
This restaurant is amazing! The food is always great, if you ask for extra crispy hash browns or any other mods they do it and... do it right (Not the case for most joints). The environment is fun and upbeat along with the staff. Nothing but good things tosay! Get the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs and go bottomless with the mimosas! Cheers! Read more
