A nice Bar Like Restaurant with a warm atmosphere. The service was good. The food ok. I enjoyed my time with friends.

This was our second time dining at The Alley; the last time being several years ago. Both times were enjoyable as the... restaurant has a great vibe and the staff is friendly and professional. We came back for the food and we’re right in doingso. Clearly more of a locals place so us tourists were glad to “sneak” in. It is a bit noisy but that is part of the vibe. Lastly, I suggest reservations on Friday or Saturday. We only got a seat because another group of four were leaving a bar-sidetable. Read more

My Newport friends love this place and come here every week. So glad I finally got to check it out! Stanton is easily the best... bartender around. Smart, attentive, hard-working, personable… he remembered my name and had my strong drink ready for me on mysecond visit. Friendly and fast servers navigate the busy environment like pros. All the food is great… salmon, seared ahi,pub burgers, chicken picatta, birthday desserts, fries. Randy, the owner, is so funny and welcoming. Loud and campy with lowlight and new friends everywhere. It's loud in there, but the calamari was the best I've ever had so delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender... ( could use more seasoning but that's just what we are used to it still had good flavor) good location, my husband said thebaked potato was the best one he has ever had and he orders one everywhere we go. I had heard about this place for a long time and finally decided to visit. it was at lunch during the week so it was very quiet... but I sat on the patio and enjoyed the Oceanaire. Really large portions and great tasting food! Fun old pub style atmosphere with dim setting and friendly staff. Our server... Andrea did a great job and was super friendly.
