MY DAUGHTER AND I VISITED THE MONTICELLO LOCATION AND ORDERED 2 POKE BOWLS, AND 2 TARRO TEAS WITH BOBBA, WE WERE STOPPED BY THE... LADY, SAYING WE HAVE NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS, WE HAD AN EMERGENCY SO I KEPT WALKING TO THE PERFECTLY FUNCTIONING RESTROOMS. WE SATDOWN TO EAT OUR MEAL, THE LADIES BEGAN TO CONVERSE IN THEIR NATIVE TOUNGE WHICH MADE US VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. THE CASHIER CAME ANDWIPED EACH TABLE AROUND US, ALTHOUGH WE HAD BEEN THE ONLY CUSTOMERS FOR THE 35 MINUTES WE WERE THERE. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICEAND OUR MEAL WAS FLAVORLESS. Read more
I would fight the entire staff of the Norfolk store if i could, waited about 30 minutes to get my food and when i finally looked... at it when i got home i was insanely upset that i spent $21 on a poke bowl with around a half cup of rice and the more saucethan protein.. the store in Chesapeake is lovely and i figured i would receive comparable service. Nasty. Chicken had no flavor.. bulgogie buns were soggy, Japanese chicken on the menu is a joke it looks like sad chicken... nuggets and to top it off the actual poke bowl was lacking everything. We were served by Pamely and she was amazing! She was nice, polite and gave great recommendations! I wish more places had great... servers like her. Both the Peach Berry tea and poke I ordered were fresh and delicious. The poke bowl was huge! The place wasreally clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing yet modernly decorated. I noticed they also serve Ramen and water is freelyavailable with cucumber slices in it, which was a nice healthy touch. Will try next time! I don?t know y there are so many bad reviews but we always order take out poke from here and it?s always fresh and tasty this is... my third order from here the crab salad is moist and yum the salmon and tuna are fresh so many toppings to choose from! Themango and avocado were perfectly ripe the crispy garlic and nori is one of my favorite toppings but u wasn?t a fan of theseaweed salad but my husband loved it. The service was alright. We were the only customers there and it was lunch time. My friend order shrimp and crabmeat with... chicken base. I had their take on Tonkotsu. My dish was crazy salty. My eggs were previously soaked in soy sauce. Didn't carefor it. The noodles weren't ramen noodles. They looked like soba noodles. My fish cakes were stuck together. This is my first time visiting ramen noodles, we are supposed to select the broth type, there are four kinds in it Plain Shoyu,... Shoyu Miso, Chicken Shoyu, Tonkotsu Shoyu from the above I can either select mild or spicy for the spice level. I have orderedChicken Shoyu. Tonkotsu Shoyu, it pork based broth therefore, I did not select it. Shoyu Miso, I do not what Shoyu Miso, Ididn?t mind asking as I was more inclined to try Chicken Shoyu. Plain Shoyu, I do not think it will be any different from theChicken Shoyu. Coming to the protein, I went with Chicken Chashu because I am a chicken person. The meal was so good, I reallyliked the flavour of the broth, It is really good when it?s served hot. Ingredients, I went with everything since, It was myfirst time. Bamboo shoots were really good, I could see corn, beans, onions, omelette, scallions. I had no idea about seaweedand wood ear however, I liked everything I eat. I wouldn?t say I had Omelette, it was an egg cut into two pieces they havemildly roasted egg yolk after they cut it into two half. Noodles are wheat based, they were thin and long, they were reallygood, I like them more when I compare them with the rice noodles. Overall, the broth with the noodles is so good, I loved it somuch, it reached my expectations, I was able to savor the flavour and serving it hot made it exotic. Specialty Drinks I haveordered Mango funtime, it a green tea made with fresh mangoes and mango jelly, we can select the sweetness levels I went with50% sweetness and added mango flavour to it, there are many other flavours you could try. I didn?t choose any toppings as theywere charged 0.50$ cents each. Later I regretted with that decision when I saw others adding the toppings, different colors wereadded to the drink which made the drink so unique and alluring.
